I think that Trev wanted someone who could lead NU at the highest level. Solich was not it. Solich most certainly could not build it and definitely could not maintain it. Osborne could still win today. He would not be running the same offense that we saw in 1995. A lot of people can't accept that.
 
We are not even close to the 2001 Nebraska. Back then it was about championships, today its about just becoming respectable again and then once we achieve that we can talk about the next step. Just seems like a long way to go just to get to mediocrity.
