Travis Hunter First-team AP All-America

I am still in shock at Nutmasher (or Robinson) not making first or second team all conference. I wouldn't be totally surprise to see one of them earn a squad ranking on an All American team.
That’s a good thing. Give them a chip on their shoulder for next year

It seems like a given that he is returning to CU next season which I'm not sure I get if he is truly that special. Hunter's NIL figure is about $2 million. The top cornerback in this years' NFL draft got $32 million guaranteed for 4 seasons - seems that would be pretty tempting for him. What's the motivation to stay and keep playing for CP - less Rolex's in college vs the Pros?

I guess as that Lineman that just Committed to Colorado said, he’s just trying to help someone that looks like him.

Which is, all due respect to everyone, the most racist trope I have heard in recent memory. MLK himself said people should be judged on the content of their character not the color of their skin.

A black player wanting to play for a black coach is racist? Good lord.

A good portion of this board officially has colorado derangement syndrome
Kind of sorry I started the thread, actually. The point I was trying to make is that while I think Hunter is a tremendous talent who might eventually deserve this kind of honor, AP voters need to base these selections on performance rather than celebrity. Didn't intend for it to devolve into another argument over Deion.

When you consider that white head coaches make up 90% of the head coaching ranks In college football it doesn't take a genius to figure out. A white kid doesn't have to say that because there's a 90% chance. He's gonna end up doing it regardless.

He’s a true Sophomore, so he’s not eligible for the draft and he’s already transferred, so he can’t enter the portal again without sitting out.

In the last week that program has landed arguably the number one offensive lineman in the country and they had one of their safeties named all american and somehow people on this board have managed to make it sound like a bad thing and that program is worse off for it.

How many you think will jump ship again next year?

Let me start by saying I think Hunter is a really talented player.

And end by saying simply,
WTF???

C'mon, AP voters. Be serious.

AP All-America Team
Who are the other options for all purpose players? Did they stay healthy and play more than 2/3rds of the season? Did they get promoted for the Heisman after one game? He is ultra talented for sure. He is also fragile physically and missed multiple games.

Base on potential and a couple really nice plays, what is the stats that show he is the most worthy all purpose player?

I didn't see Texas play all that much, but Xavier Worthy (the 3rd team selection) caught 73 passes for almost 1,000 yards and averaged 17 yards on 21 punt returns. That seems like more of a 1st team resume than Hunter's.

Travis Hunter is a great player, OK?
Here is the issue, for me, personally.

Deion gave a speech at JSU to his players about how they could use their scholarships to change the trajectory of their families by developing skills to “get a career, not a job, but a career”. That guy may write letters to help his graduating players get careers as lawyers, doctors, electricians, contractors. He might write letters for 20 years to an ex player who has lost his way. Let’s call that guy Coach Sanders.

Then you have the guy that allows his players to flash Rolexes at opposing crowds, challenge opposing coaches having prayer meetings, doesn’t get coaches to develop his OL, but just announces publicly he’s going to replace them with some 5 star who wants to help someone who looks like him, and says the same thing in public about recruits. Let’s call him Coach Prime.

I understand why any parents would want their sons to play for Coach Sanders. I don’t understand why any parent would want their sons to play for Coach Prime.

I'm not sure he said that. At least I couldn't find that quote in the articles I read and no one has posted it as I requested.

OMG that would be just perfect if he didn't even say it. Hahahaha. I...and I slpet on this and now think

...I'm embarrassed of many posters in this thread . You have got to be kidding me that you'd have a problem with what he said, if it even turns out to be true...and if you do have a problem, that's a you problem. ..and if he didn't say it, you look even stupider...and if there was more than a handful of black head coaches in this sport it wouldn't need to be said at all.

As far as Hunter being named AA? I remember when the season was a month old, many people were saying Hunter would be the first non QB taken in the draft of it were held right then and there. It isn't like they nominated some bum.

Colorado...livin rent free in some heads around here.

He said it. It is quoted in this article.

It was a difficult search let me tell you.

He is a “dawg” all right….

Deion is an ass.
I read that as the kid quoting Deion but I could be wrong. Sounds like Deion is using race to recruit, which is fine with me. There are no rules in recruiting and a lot of parents see through his bs.
