From time to time we have had discussions on this board about Nebraska uniforms and the need to change to some thing more "modern". I took a look at the traditional powers in NCAA football and conclude they don't change their uniforms dramatically for a whole season. Maybe one game, but basically they stay the same. The point here is the teams that have new unis every week are the wannabe powers. Teams like OSU, USC, Alabama, Michigan, Texas, Oklahoma, Penn State, Nebraska FSU don't change their unis because the uniforms themselves are LOGOs or trademarks of the team. They may make a tweak or two, add a stripe here and there, or even add a players name on the jersey (Penn State) but basically they are the same because when you see that uniform, you automatically know who the team is.
I know uniforms might attract recruits, but frankly I don't see a lot of pizazz in any of these traditional football power's unis and yet they still keep getting the great recruits.
