In the 'Tommy Armstrong' thread, I mentioned Buckhalter's fumble against Texas in 1999. It got me thinking. In your fandom, what are the 5 worst memories you have? For context, I started watching Nebraska in 1987. Here's mine:
- James Brown's pass to Derek Lewis in the 1996 Big 12 Championship Game. That play was the end of the 3-peat.
- Byron Bennett's missed FG against Florida State. Not #1 because it was the play that helped shaped the best team in CFB history (IMHO).
- Buckhalter's fumble against Texas in 1999. That fumble cost them a national title.
- Major Applewhite's touchdown pass in 1998. Home-win streak snapped.
- LeKevin Smith's interception and fumble against Texas Tech. Just fall down!
