2nd-team All-Big Ten in 2012

1.) Baker Steinkuhler, Nebraska; 5-stars, 6.1 RR, #8 on the Rivals 100, 2nd-best offensive tackle in the 2008 recruiting class; Was moved to defensive tackle by Pelini's staff and was a three-year starter for the Huskers; Second-team All-Big Ten in 2012, honorable-mention All-Big Ten in 2011, and honorable-mention All-Big 12 in 2010; Many believe that Pelini shortchanged Steinkuhler's professional future by moving him away from the offensive line, though.

Three-year starter for Notre Dame

2.) Trevor Robinson, Notre Dame; 4-stars, 6.0 RR, #37 on the Rivals 100, #1-overall offensive guard in the 2008 recruiting class; Three-year starter at guard for Notre Dame; Was a backup center with the San Diego Chargers, after being undrafted in the 2012 NFL Draft.

3.) Sean Fisher, Nebraska; 3-stars, 5.7 RR, 41st-best outside LB in the 2008 recruiting class; Started 15 games at linebacker in his career for the Huskers; Career was somewhat hampered by a broken leg in 2010.

4.) Collins Okafor, Nebraska; 3-stars, 5.7 RR, 27th-best running back in the 2008 recruiting class; Appeared in two games over three seasons for the Huskers, and had two carries in his career.

5.) Tim Biere, Kansas; 3-stars, 5.7 RR, 19th-best tight end in the 2008 recruiting class; A three-year starter for KU at TE and finished his college career with 66 catches for 798 yards and six touchdowns.

1.) Tyrone Sellers, Kansas; 3-stars, 5.7 RR, 30th-best weakside DE in the 2009 recruiting class; Played sparingly at DE over three seasons at KU and transferred to UN-Kearney after Charlie Weis took over at KU.

2.) Jon Lechner, Ohio; 3-stars, 5.7 RR, 31st-best offensive tackle in the 2009 recruiting class; Four-year starter at offensive tackle for Frank Solich's Bobcats, and was named 2nd-team All-MAC.

3.) Vondrae Tostenson, Iowa Western Community College; 3-stars, 5.6 RR, 85th-best WR in the 2009 recruiting class; Ended up at Iowa Western but never played a down of football.

4.) C.J. Zimmerer, Nebraska; 3-stars, 5.5 RR, 18th-best fullback in the 2009 recruiting class; Appeared in 41 games with 7 starts at fullback for the Huskers.

5.) Cole Pensick, Nebraska; 3-stars, 5.5 RR, 80th-best defensive tackle in the 2009 recruiting class; Made 14 starts in his career at Nebraska, primarily at center, and was named 2nd-team All-Big Ten in 2013.

1.) Andrew Rodriguez, Nebraska; 4-stars, 5.8 RR, #183 on the Rivals 250, 24th-best offensive tackle in the 2010 recruiting class; Started 16 games over his career at NU, and was named honorable-mention All-Big Ten in 2013.

2.) Tyler Evans, Nebraska; 2-stars, 5.4 RR; Appeared in nine games and had 2 receptions in his career at NU.

3.) Bryce Dietz, Ohio; 2-stars, 5.3 RR; Spent 3 years as a reserve offensive lineman for Frank Solich.

4.) Jake Cotton, Nebraska; 2-stars, 5.3 RR; Two-year starter at left guard for the Huskers.

5.) Bronson Marsh, Nebraska; 2-stars, 5.3 RR; Spent two years as the starting QB for UN-Kearney; Appeared in two games as a reserve for NU.

NU's starting right tackle in 2014

1.) Zach Sterup, Nebraska; 4-stars, 5.8 RR, 26th-best offensive tackle in the 2011 recruiting class; Started six games his senior year. Started 10 games at right tackle for the Huskers in 2014, and was a reserve the previous two seasons; Was on the KC Chiefs' practice squad last season.

2.) Ryne Reeves, Nebraska; 4-stars, 5.8 RR, 4th-best center in the 2011 recruiting class; Started at center for the Huskers in 2015. For reasons that no one but Bo Pelini could explain or understand, Reeves was the Huskers' 2nd-string center behind Mark Pelini in 2014; Was a reserve guard the previous two seasons.

3.) Daniel Davie, Nebraska; 3-stars, 5.5 RR; Started five games as a senior in 2015. Starter at cornerback for the Huskers in 2014, and was a reserve CB and special teams player the previous two years.

4.) Teddy Lampkin, Iowa State; 3-stars, 5.5 RR; Spent a redshirt season at Iowa State and then transferred to Nebraska, where he is on NU's track & field team.

5.) Cole Fisher, Iowa; 3-stars, 5.5 RR; Started at weakside LB for Iowa in 2015, and was named honorable mention All-Big Ten; Second-string weakside LB for the Hawkeyes in 2014, and was a seldom-used reserve the previous two seasons.

1.) Tay Bender, Kansas State; 3-stars, 5.6 RR, 20th-best dual-threat QB in the 2012 recruiting class; Ended up playing one year (2015) at FCS Southeast Missouri where he was the Redhawks' 2nd-string QB; Spent 2012 at K-State and then transferred to Iowa Western CC.

2.) Drew Ott, Iowa; 3-stars, 5.5 RR; Three-year starter at defensive end for the Hawkeyes, and was 2nd-team All-Big Ten in 2014; Was sixth in the Big Ten in sacks (7.5) in 2014; Missed considerable time in 2015 due to a dislocated elbow and a torn ACL.

3.) Sam Cotton, Nebraska; 3-stars, 5.5 RR; Started 11 games at TE in 2016 and caught 8 passes for 87 yards on the season; Had 17 receptions in his Husker career.

4.) Mike Shoff, South Dakota State; 3-stars, 5.5 RR; Starting offensive tackle for the Jackrabbits in 2013 but missed the entire 2014 season due to injury, and never played again.

5.) Jake Schany, Ohio; 3-stars, 5.5 RR; No longer in football due to persistent shoulder injuries; Appeared in one game for the Bobcats in 2013.

1.) Josh Banderas, Nebraska; 4-stars, 5.8 RR, #182 on the Rivals 250, 14th-best outside LB in the 2013 recruiting class; Started 31 games in his Husker career, and led NU with 93 tackles in 2016; Stated that he was considering transferring after the 2014 season due to Pelini and his staff.

2.) Christian Lacouture, Louisiana State; 3-stars, 5.7 RR, 18th-best strongside DE in the 2013 recruiting class; Two-year starter at defensive tackle for LSU, but missed the 2016 season due to a knee injury; Was committed to Nebraska and his family actually moved to Lincoln for his senior season, but somehow Pelini botched his recruitment, leading him to Baton Rouge.

3.) Nathan Bazata, Iowa; 3-star, 5.5 RR; Two-year starter for the Hawkeyes at defensive tackle; Had 39 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 2016; Was 3rd-string DT for Iowa as a redshirt freshman in 2014.

4.) Casey Sayles, Ohio; 2-star, 5.4 RR; A three-year starter at defensive end for Frank Solich; Had 33 tackles and six sacks for the Bobcats in 2016.

McCook's Jake Schlager was Colorado State's 3rd-leading tackler in 2016

5.) Jake Schlager, Colorado State; 2-star, 5.3 RR; Starting safety for the Rams in 2016, recording 72 tackles, 1 INT, and 2 TFL; Was a reserve in 2015 and 2013, and missed all of 2014 with an injury.

Jerald Foster provided a huge boost to NU's offensive line play when he returned from an MCL injury late in the season

1.) Jerald Foster, Nebraska; 3-stars, 5.7 RR, 21st-best offensive guard; Missed the first nine games of 2016 with a torn MCL, but returned late in the season to start at LG; Played in 13 games in 2015, primarily on special teams; Redshirted in 2014.

Harrison Phillips was honorable mention All-Pac 12 in 2016

2.) Harrison Phillips, Stanford; 3-stars, 5.6 RR, 30th-best strongside defensive end; Starting DE for Stanford in 2016 and was named honorable mention All-Pac 12; Had 46 tackles and 6.5 sacks on the season; Suffered a season-ending injury in the 2015 opener; Had 2 sacks as a true freshman in 2014; Thanks, Bo - God knows we couldn't use another DE on our roster.

3.) Mick Stoltenberg, Nebraska; 3-stars, 5.6 RR, 49th-best offensive tackle; Had 25 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 2016; Spent 2015 as a reserve DT; Redshirted in 2014.

4.) Luke Gifford, Nebraska; 3-stars, 5.6 RR, 39th-best Athlete; Reserve linebacker who appeared in four games in 2016; Appeared in 6 games in 2015 before missing the rest of the season with a hip injury; Redshirted in 2014.

5.) Trey Carr, South Dakota State; 3-stars, 5.5 RR; Now at NAIA Peru State, where he was a starting cornerback; Played in 14 games for South Dakota State with one start as a true freshman in 2014, and led the Jackrabbits with 10 pass breakups that year.

1.) DaiShon Neal, Nebraska; 3-stars, 5.6 RR, 36th-best strongside defensive end; Appeared in nine games as a reserve in 2016 and had 2 tackles on the season; Redshirted in 2015.

2.) Michael Decker, Nebraska; 3-stars, 5.6 RR, 48th-best offensive guard; Backup center in 2016; Redshirted in 2015.

3.) C.J. Johnson, Wyoming; 3-stars, 5.6 RR, 82nd-best wide receiver; Was Craig Bohl's 4th-leading receiver in 2016 with 21 receptions for 304 yards and 3 TDs; Redshirted in 2015.

4.) Calvin Strong, South Dakota; 2-stars, 5.4 RR; Did not appear in any games for the Coyotes in 2016; Was a greyshirt in 2015, working on his academics.

5.) Adam Holtorf, Kansas State; 2-stars, 5.4 RR; Was K-State's 2nd-string center in 2016; Redshirted in 2015.
