I do feel like if the NCAA tournament refs help push a storyline and give some 50/50 calls in a certain team's direction, we fit the perfect narrative for that.
Why we are fun to watch for non-Husker fans, and perhaps we get bogus calls in RD1
1. The Tominaga effect.
2. Trev Alberts ditching us right before the tournament before we play T A&M
3. I'm probably wrong on this, but I do not think Houston pulls the most viewers for March Madness games compared to other (1) seeds. Maybe all 2nd round games have enormous viewership, but having us win w/ Tominaga hitting 5 3-pointers in the 1st game helps with TV ratings.
4. We've never won a tournament game before.
5. We're known as a football school, but ironically look way better as a basketball school, at least recently.
6. Middle of nowhere story line. Prob will do a pregame shot of cornfields just outside of Lincoln.
