Tom was talking about things we boast in today...

Tuco spent the entire day driving to Ft Worth for a conference. He had no references to the 1971 Nebraska/ Oklahoma game in his discussions.
I'm sad for you. Everyone needs some references to the greatest game ever played from time to time. As good as that play above was, I actually liked the last drive better. It showed what a master Osborne was as a play caller. He put Kinney and Tagge along with Johnny Rodgers in positions to be successful. It was a thing of beauty.

Tom shouldn't be sad for Tuco. Tuco leads a pretty rewarding life. One day without a reference to the 1971 season does not a sad man make.

Tom should be sad in general since he poses as his wife on a message board (or he has to have his wife post on a message board for him - I honestly don't know which is worse).

You need to tell Tom that on a Sunday especially the only thing he should boast in is the Lord.Winking

When he played the following video you could barely hear Bremser over all the folks yelling out "clip."

Only in Oklahoma.

I was at that game. I was a junior in high school. I was sitting with my cousin in the corner of the endzone along the same side of the field that Rodgers ran down on his TD punt return. The Jet was running away from us. The OU fans around me would shake their car keys and yell "hub cap" whenever Rodgers ran onto the field. In reference to the gas station robbery. It was a miserable day as far as the weather in Norman, but so much fun and a great drive home after the big win. Jeff Kinney scored the winning TD right down in front of us. My whole family went and my grandfather and cousin drove out from Denver to go to the game with us. The rest of family got great seats on the 35 yard line but my cousin and I got the tickets in the corner of the stadium. My dad got the tickets for free through business connections. It was a different era. Now for a game like that you would have to pay a small fortune for 7 tickets.
