A member of the Evil Empire (The Daily Nebraskan) inadvertently got laid out in practice yesterday.
OK. OK. I kid about TO finding satisfaction in that.
TO surely felt great distaste at times for that great bastion of journalistic excellence.
One of my younger brothers wrote for the DN his freshman year. He set up an interview with TO.
At the start of it TO gives him a "don't I know you from somewhere" look.
My brother says, "I'm sure you're thinking of my older brother." I was a student manager under TO.
TO then says something to the effect of, "what the heck are you doing messing around with the Evil Empire instead of helping us out?"
I always enjoy hearing my brother tell that story.
I believe Shelli Smith was the sports editor then. A big reason my brother ended that association after 1 year.
