Jamari Butler doubling down on Twitter on the not shaking hands thing. Oohhh, such "dawg" attitude for a dude who couldn't be bothered to pursue Iowa rb on the big screen play. Did the same to USC and OSU too? Lmao losers. Bitch boys.

I'm getting fed up with Rhules preacher "culture". I've defended him plenty, but can't anymore. Right there with whacko Kong. It's mainly the outwardly public fake Christian bs like the locker room prayer that says "if we lose, we shall stand by the side" in contrast with thuggish behavior like this. One or the other... Pick! Because like most fake Xianity these days and the politics that go with it, it's a bad look. Pushes people right the fvck away.

Ra Ra Ra - but underwhelming results. If it weren't for that fake culture bs that attempts to cover the fact these players still don't know how to win, not doing things like the midfield prayer and walking through other teams warmups, etc and our players actually behaved like good sports, I could live with the results of this season and be happy/complacent.

But all the shenanigans is just tarnishing our program - poor play and records doesn't help either. Maybe if we were dominant and pushing for playoffs I could stomach such nonsense. But man... It's getting harder and harder to cheer for Big Red, and not cheer FOR whoever is our opponent any given week.

Do we know our bowl opponent yet? Go whoever it is - beat the Huskers!

Edit: I feel dirty after that last part, my bad. But damn... Rhule and this nonsense on top of big bad Frost and his insistence we were going to play regardless of the covid stuff, just to allow players to out of the lucky bowl invite at seasons end is just the kind of stuff that makes one not want to be a fan anymore. I have way too many signed husker memorabilia from the golden years to just move on easily. Sure is tempting to check out until Rhule is gone though. Might just go that.

Good Lord are you a weak man.

You are talking big behind this screen (calling players derogatory names) but have literally crumbled as a man.

You just rooted for the other team to win despite claiming to be a Husker fan.

You know what? Who cares aabout your memorabilia from the glory years. Everyone was a Husker fan when it was easy. Try doing something when it’s tough because you just hope there is a reward at the end. Being a Christian. Being on a diet. Lifting weights. Studying for a test. Most things in life aren’t easy if there is a reward worth something at the end of the work.

Take the rest of the weekend to have some introspective thoughts. Hope you come out stronger.

Shake hands, don’t shake hands. I don’t care.

I said last week that I don’t like us gathering on the other team’s mid-field logo. There’s no need, and you’re just trying to cause trouble. After all the fights yesterday, I feel more justified in my stance. That crap needs to stop, everywhere.

We don’t just pray on it, either

And what’s with Nice Guy Rhule’s pregame walkabout?

Weird weird stuff all around. And yet again counter to Preacher’s rhetoric

I said the same thing. If I was a player I'd want all the smoke. That said nothing good comes from the mid field logo. Even if it's a prayer it shouldn't be done there. Comes off as disrespectful whether it is or not. Intent only matters to the one who feels offended.

I wouldn't do it before or after the game if I'm being honest. Like I just nothing good comes from it...ever.

Agreed. Pick an end zone and do it there. That said, Iowa has hardly been saints when it comes to obnoxious and disrespectful behavior. Iowa may not be in the same stratosphere as Colorado or Miami for trash talk and taunting, but they dish it out all the same. I do think you shake hands before and after the game. I didn't like it no matter what.
Yesterday was some of the most heated rivalry games I've ever seen. Multiple fights in multiple games. Lots of antagonism and violence. When Mayfield planted the flag it was mostly just humorous. Now it's getting taken too seriously by both sides and tempers are out of control.

After the game with the other team is commonplace

Ron Brown used to lead those and there were always members of the other team that joined after a hard fought game

Are you bashing Rhule or Christianity?

I’m not bothered at all about this hand shake thing. I think it’s overblown really. If you want to shake hands you can do it after the game like some boxers in the ring do after a fight is over.

Iowa player made it a point to talk on radio that he had to go shake Rhule’s hand after the game because Rhule ‘insulted them’ because he ran some laps around the track before the game. F**k Iowa! Whole state is full of dumb little b1tches!

Don’t lie. You wouldn’t give 2 shits if we shook their hands or not if we won the game. You’re just mad cause we lost. You would be applauding the move if we won.
Yeah, none of that shit matters if you win. I watched a ton of football all weekend. It’s rivalry week for Christs sake. Pretty much every game had some kind of kerfuffle. We didn’t tangle with them at any point. Husker Iowa game was a pillow fight compared to many of the other games.

Hell yes.

The left lane Interstate driving 76 MPH asshats from Iowa are just a bunch of bitches.

Exactly. If you're gonna do it, be dominant. Have like, at least AVERAGE special teams. Or else look like the joke you are lol

See, if we kicked their ass you wouldn’t care. And I do agree it makes you look like bitches when you lose. But in the end I can’t really get mad at it cause I’m really just mad we lost. If I’m being 100% honest with myself.

Eh, still would be a bit upset.

If we won the 8-9 games they should've won (dominance) I suppose I'd overlook it.

Yeah, it’s lame bush league low class stuff that fits the Big Ten, but is not Nebraska. Rhule needs to change to be us, not try to change us to be like them.

Weakness was on full display Friday night by the ones who felt a sense of entitlement and hurt feelings over where they could or couldn't say their prayer in someone else's house... Their feelings are hurt over players making fun of them verbally after getting their asses handed to them on the field year in and year out... Friday, they were more concerned with shit they can't control than with what they could, attitude, effort, discipline, etc... The fake tough guy crap, lack of attitude, and discipline spilled over on the field once again, only for them to endure more of what they're already upset about... Pretty vicious cycle for players with fragile egos....

Well, it’s probably gonna become a thing going forward. Even if Rhule instructs them to shake hands from now on (I assumed the players did/planned that independently, but I don’t know that) iowa players may return the gesture next year. After that it’s on, and will likely become an annual thing. I say, just beat their fvcking asses and the rest will sort itself out.

Unfortunately, we trip on dicks and face plant into a pile of dog shit against the cucks every year. And frankly, we choke late in the game against everyone, period. It just stings more when it the last game of the season and it’s against a shitty iowa team that anyone with pulse should beat. Coaches gotta figure out how to get this team to close out games.

We have a country, overwhelmingly even possible, because of Christians. They have a right to pray wherever public. If there are players that want to pray, I agree it would be better to pray if on the field then off of the logos if it's going to cause people to react with animosity because they feel disrespected over a graphic.

"We, the people, grateful to Almighty God for our freedom, do ordain and establish the following declaration of rights and frame of government, as the Constitution of the State of Nebraska." -Preamble to the Nebraska state constitution.

This team represents the State of Nebraska, it bears its name and is representative of an institution of the State of Nebraska. My State of birth, and my State of continued residence.

"WE THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF IOWA, grateful to the Supreme Being for the blessings hitherto enjoyed, and feeling our dependence on Him for a continuation of those blessings, do ordain and establish a free and independent government, by the name of the State of Iowa, the boundaries whereof shall be as follows" - Preamble to the Iowa state constitution.

Even in Iowa the recognition of a Creator is present, is known as "Him", and definitely, unless you're getting purposely ignorant, is
referring to the God of Abraham, Isaak, and Jacob of the Torah and Holy Bible.

We have a right to pray in any public space regardless and should exercise resistance to any tyrant who would try to establish restrictions to our rights in a country that would not exist if it wasn't for the hand of God and our engagement in its creation, sustainment, and input.

Having said that, I believe representatives in games should be the ones who will show respect, shake hands, then proceed to beat the other team down to such a degree that they lose their next contest like Nebraska used to be known for.

To the mods who may take exception to my post:

I am only posting this in response to the OP and to what I perceive as an attempt to disregard and nominalize my people's right to exercise our beliefs in the country which could not have ever existed without our appeals to our Creator and application of our talents, time, resources, indeed our lives.

There is no separation of Church and State. That exists only in a letter to the Danbury Baptist church who is addressed by one president and does not exist in law because it could not in this country who is sustained by God through our prayers and authored by an overwhelming historic and present work of our hands. Separation of Church and State is a context only seen correctly when addressing the fact that subject matter was referring to preferred denominations and access to claim the powers of the State and denial of same to other denominations seen as in error, and not the same to prevent access of believers and influence in its navigation into the future, irrespective of their denomination, and their own national State due to the fact their faith is their inspiration of involvement and their love of country their motivation.
