And pull Boe Wilson's redshirt. Total bummer losing Foster for whole year.

He could but then who would play C and make the checks and calls?Maybe Utter can slide back over to guard
he is a specimen. Big dudeWilson has been taking reps with the first unit.
At C? Though he was taking reps at OG? Seems like a tall task for a true freshman to take over at C.Wilson has been taking reps with the first unit.
Pretty sure rrt meant guard. No need to move utter over to guard since Wilson is a capable backupAt C? Though he was taking reps at OG? Seems like a tall task for a true freshman to take over at C.

Ok. Thanks. Figured that would be the case. Center is too important to goof around with unless you mustMike said no to moving Utter on the Husker Extra site

I've pretty consistently heard that Barnett may be one of the most physically gifted interior linemen we've had in a while. We'll see.I think Barnett ends up starting at LG by week one. They are trying to speed up Wilson's understanding of the playbook, and giving him more first team reps.
We really need Barnett to grow up fast now that we lost Foster for the season, hopefully he seizes the opportunity to start as a Redshirt Freshman.
Should be a competitive battle between him and Boe Wilson.
And Corey Whitaker when he returns. The trouble for Whitaker though is that the edge he has over Barnett and Wilson is his experience. But his experience has never been as a starter and he lacks the raw talent of the young guys. So my hunch is that with several weeks of practicing with the ones, and a couple of starts in real games, the young guys will have the edge over Whitaker.
