Broke $60 today to fill up the Yukon for the first time since I bought it. I've been spoiled with my gas guzzler.

Coming out of a pandemic where oil at one point was negative, and summer switch over will do that

Nothing screams stalker posting like ripping a 2 day old thread with 3 messages in it.

Nashville gas station trolls Hunter Biden: 'Hope gas prices don't get too high'

A Corolla costs about 9 cents per mile for gas.
An F250 costs close to 20 cents.
A Tesla costs a nickel in electricity.

Need to get all those K2500, Tahoes, and F150 to start costing 50-75 cents per mile or more.

The only effective way to change stupid people is through their wallets.

I hear ya bro. That would be a tough gig.
Yup. That’s why I’m such a big proponent of universal healthcare, Medicaid expansion, universal basic income, cannabis instead of Vicodin.

This veteran Has no family, his VA pension is minimal, he lives in a house that’s run down, and needs 25 to 30 hours a week of caregiver services To live in his own home. Double amputee The man doesn’t even wear pants, he sits on a Chuck pad Wearing a towel.

The disabled woman who inherited her parents house and lives on 731/month. She’s in a power chair and has water damage every time it rains. Thought it was mold all over the walls until it started moving. What does she do? Do I hotline her? Then she’s homeless.

Same scenario different house. Foundation is so fvcked there is a literal lean to it. Archway Into kitchen looks like a shattered windshield. 85 year old with her 60 year old severely developmentally disabled son. I don’t walk on the left side of the house in fear my fat ass brings it down.

I have one veteran. Vietnam tours, agent orange rectum, feeding tube, four different kinds of cancer, Parkinson’s. The man Smoked a joint once and his doctor during a blood test told him if he ever found THC in his system again he would stop his chemo treatments. The look in his eyes when he described how the one joint took all of his fears, anxiety, and cancer pain away, is one I will never forget.

I think we could all agree that we don't mind paying taxes to help people like you just described. It's just when you hear stories of hundreds of millions of dollars that never make it to the people that need it. It's unaccounted for thats when it pisses people off. They need to show us exactly where our money goes. Let us choose where our taxes go to. Charities use to thrive so much in the 50's and 60's and help for the homeless and needy was so much better. The more taxes taken the less people don't donate to charities. It's sad. I would tell that guys to smoke all the weed he wants and if he needs a cleansing kit next time he goes to the Dr. Hook him up. I'm sure we could round him up some money.

Your work is very admirable Stein. There must be days you get home feeling extremely frustrated.

I know my rhetoric makes me sound like fvck the little guy, but I'm actually quite the opposite.

My frustration lies within our governmental agencies and politicians who repeatedly abuse our systems and laws for their own benefit.

For every person you described in your post, there are fvck sticks partying in Vegas on ours and the government's dime.

I've said plenty of times that health care in this country straight sucks. I make a nice living and can barely afford to use my insurance. Most people with a family pay more for health insurance than they do for mortgages which is a joke.

I will agree out current government structure is most likely FUBAR and in dire need of the reset button. The fact that half a billion is spent on one senate race is absurd. Don’t know the answer. I just know the republicans party’s platform is more closely aligned with helping the big guy get bigger. This is not letting the democrats off the hook because they are also culpable. That’s why most closely align with the democratic socialist party. People first. Profits a distant fifth.

And I appreciate the civil banter. I know we diametrically differ on how to fix the fubar,

Frustrated sometimes yes, but mostly humbled. 70% of my success in life was predicated on me being birthed into lower middle class America, and not into dirt poverty.

Of the major two parties, yes. I think Gary Johnson, Jill Stein, Ron Paul, Bernie are all looking out for the people in their own ways
