Not a good comparison.

Diversity is cleverly undefined by the political class.

But experience teaches us it is about "gender" and "color" and "religion" and "physical ability" and "age" and "sex pref". Nothing to do with ability, commitment, intelligence or content of character.

ALL of these diversity badges are immaterial in making sound management decisions.

"lowering" says a lot of your view of what happened. Doesn't exactly sound like a ringing endorsement.

I would argue you made the opposite point.

Additional people's views and ideas were included because they are beneficial views and ideas not because they were diverse as defined above.

Go Blue!
Bingo gets confused a lot. We keep him around to make ourselves feel better.

The ironic thing is no one is pushing critical race theory. Theories like that would only be taught at university level (possibly graduate level) courses where those who are being presented with such theories are mature enough to disseminate the information how they see fit. It's strawman argument that might open the door for lawmakers in Texas to change the word slaves to workers. Any teacher worth a damn will continue to teach factual history and do their best to let the recipient form their own opinions or views on those being discussed.
Idk why you insist on gaslighting people here, but you should stop. Lest more people catch on to your fraudulent ways.

They're suffering from lack of diversity.

Hopefully after they shit the bed, someone will put a panel together which is empowered to study the problem and implement some quotas for next time around.
Or many NBA dudes should stop making little friendly deals to not play D on each other so that they can all get bigger fatter contracts, because once the Olympics hit the other team is going to play D.

Nah I'm out on this. There is nothing I can say that will change any minds here. If those who have kids raise them the right way they will have an open and curious mind and should hopefully be able to delineate between historical facts and opinion.

Nice theory. You VASTLY underestimate the influence teachers can have on kids. It is normal for kids to rebel against their parents' views in their teens. Having a teacher they like spewing socialist propaganda to them day after day is tough to counter.

In high school maybe.. I'm 6-8th grade and have been for 22 years. At that age if they aren't complete monsters half the time it's a victory. I was lucky enough to have a class a few years back that actually displayed empathy. I did a special unit on the Holocaust and the kids were so great. We got to meet a concentration camp survivor and all they wanted to do was hug her when she was done speaking. Those classes are special and hard to come by. When they happen you'd take a bullet for them... The others... Not so much. Most of the time it takes all the patience and effort just to get attention and engaged participation. All the other crap doesn't even begin to seep into instruction. The reason CRT or what those think is CRT isn't a thing until higher education is because no one has the time for that type of nuance.

Nice cop out. You lose yet again. Maybe use some common sense in the future.. it will be new for you, but I have faith you can do it.

I used to have a survivor come in as well, it was amazing.

And to your point, most teachers do not have an amazing impact on kids, MAYBE in HS, and that is even a stretch. I bet I can't even name 6 of my teachers I had in HS and I don't know if I can name more than 2 professors that I had in college.

People that think that teachers have some amazing impact on the students are people that are looking for reasons why their kids are not a clone.

Lose what? Are you 6? I feel like I have been pretty measured in my responses. I can tell you what goes on in my classroom and what I have experienced. Listen to those that have experience in areas that maybe you don't. Take care

I teach… have for 46 years… have tried to grow in my knowledge , empathy, ability to discuss difficult and uncomfortable topics… not perfect in any of it…
I differ with the guy who said he couldn’t name 6 of his teachers… I think I can name all BUT 6… even the ones I didn’t like/ agree with/ become inspired by…
If I’ve taught 46 years and affected no lives, what a sad outcome…

Big HS or small?

I went to a school with like 2500 students. Did you go to a small HS?

I feel like at smaller schools, you know and remember all your teachers because you see them or had them all the time. Once you get to bigger HS's, not so much. It was not meant as a dig.

130 in my grad class… so I guess that COULD be a difference…😂
And I totally get that because I taught at a school around that size, huge difference. And I think a positive difference in a lot of ways, I really do.

I can remember graduating and they were calling up names of kids that I literally had never seen before.

One thing I do know. China kicks our ass in education that can apply to critical f’n math and technology. We may be good at talking race and stuff but my money is in China to dominate us

I wonder if Argentina would be interested in playing volleyball in the Big Ten?

A picturesque group, playing Team USA now on NBCSN.
