Always have wanted to check out a game in Lincoln and finally coming this weekend.

I arrive Friday at 10am and leave Sunday at 6:40pm. So i have two days to kill. What are some things i should check out? I'm really open to just about anything, indoors, outdoors, etc.

Thank you in advance and hoping to see a good game, just saw vegas has Nebraska -10

I hope you're not coming for the football... that hasn't been good in awhile.

Maybe skip the game, go to the mall and roller skating hall of fame... you could also tKe in the roller skating museum. Both of those are in Lincoln. That ought to give at least a few hours of entertainment... now only 44 hours more to fill.

Someone else can step up and help me out, since it's been years since I've been to Lincoln.

Seriously, many others on this board should be able to point you in the right direction. One think I've often heard talked about is you've gotta go to Misty's on Friday night. Good food and atmosphere. Other than that, I'm hoping some of my comrades will fill you in.

Whats the scene like at mistys

If you're a Rutgers fan, this may be a great time to take in a game. Enjoy whatever you decide to do.

Nebraska is only favored by 11 points so Rutgers definitely has a chance!! Winking

The state capital building is stunning. An absolute architectural treasure. Go inside and walk around. Take the elevator to the top. It's all free.

Somebody's paying and based on my taxes, it's me.

Like you're taking your parents out to eat for their 75th wedding anniversary.

I'm not all that current on the bar scene, but figured Misty's might not be for you. Probably want to check out the Haymarket District near the (fairly) new basketball arena. Good variety of bars and restaurants there.

Depends on what kind of scene you're looking for. O street (where Duffys is) has a bunch of bars in a few block stretch that are more college age, cheap drinks, etc. The haymarket/railyard area has a bunch of bars and restaurants too but is a bit nicer, more expensive, less college kids but still a young crowd. At 25 you could probably pull off either and they're about a 10 minute walk from each other so you could try em both.
