No kidding. Please spare me all the talk about how Iowa just happened to pull off three big plays - and heck, if NU had only completed 100% of its low-percentage bombs, it's a different game!!!

Defense couldn't get off the field, offense couldn't move the chains and special teams were terrible. A first-class ass-whipping in every sense of the word. Congrats to Iowa - this one was no contest.

Fireable offense. Riley better be on the hot seat.

Yeah let's fire another 9 win coach that everyone in the coaching community respects at a time when we have zero roster depth. Prematurely blowing up a staff, rendering another lost year of recruiting when our roster already is depleted of depth and talent due to 7 years of no effort recruiting should work wonders for getting us back to relevancy.

Fireable QB. Offense was there. O line played well enough. QB did not.

We have been awful at the QB position. It probably would be wise to see how Lee turns out and then hope Gebbia is good since POB is a bust.

Definitely a result of their O-Line totally dominating our D-Line.

Today was embarrassing. We got out executed, out coached, etc. There is no excuse for today. Our effort was pathetic. Iowa wanted it more than us.
No, didnt you hear that this was to be expected....oh and what would you have done differently?

It's hard to see a ton of optimism for the next couple of years, either. Next year we will have a QB who took zero snaps this year, and we lose a ton of talent at receiver and on defense.

In 2018 we play a ridiculously tough schedule (road games at OSU, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Iowa with MSU and CU at home) where even if we're much improved, we may not win as many games as we did this year.

Relax. Everyone said that about Wisconsin this year, too, and they've been playing with a RS FR QB. Not saying Nebraska will be all-world or even win the division, but the team is only 2 years into Riley's tenure and made noticeable strides. Iowa played lights out and are probably playing better at this point than they did all last year when they were 12-0 in the regular season. They did beat Michigan and more handily than the score indicated. Nebraska gained 16 more yards than the Wolverines and Iowa's finally found its way on offense recently because of some key personnel changes and certain guys getting healthy at the right time. I can't believe I'm an Iowa fan trying to talk sense to Nebraska fans who seem to think the sky is falling. Nebraska is not a top 10 team, but I still think they are a top 20-25 team and, if Armstrong gets healthy, will be a tough team to beat in a bowl game. Let's see where Nebraska is 2, 3 seasons from now before throwing Riley under the bus. Nebraska's been having good recruiting classes lately. We'll see.

Let's just relax everyone. Obviously today's game was very disappointing, but I'm honestly just ready to see what an actual QB can do for this team. Someone who can stand in the pocket with poise and go through his progressions. It is going to make a huge difference. These next two years are going to be huge! We will know how good of a coach Riley really is when he has all of his recruits playing. Just try to stay positive and win the bowl game this year. Already anxious for next season though. Love this team and all of us die hard fans.

Even as an Iowa fan, I think this is a reasonable outlook. It's Riley's second year, too little to know how good/bad he'll be. Recruiting is pretty good from what I've seen and he's been using guys who were not his choices because he's had to (as every new coach does). Iowa is playing better than most of you think right now. Everyone forgets they were the favorites to win the B10 west this year and they are finally playing like it. They had the talent, just had injuries and, seemingly, a sense that they could just show up and other teams would lay down. That cost them against NDSU and NW (and almost against Rutgers--if they had played a decent team that week they would have gotten crushed). But they found their way after being embarrassed against PSU. Nebraska is not as good as y'all thought when they were 7-0 nor are they as bad as you seem to think now. They are a top 25 team that hit a wall, had a key injury at QB, and played a team hungry as hell to prove that they were the team that everyone thought they could be. Give it another three years and see where Riley is when he has all of his own guys. After that, yeah, roast him if he isn't getting it done. Or, as an Iowa fan, fire him now and derail whatever progress you've been making. Believe me, you'd be back to 5-7 next year under a new coach no matter who.

Uhm...we are not in the same league as Wisconsin. They play in Rose Bowls, conference championships. For a more accurate comparison to Nebraska, use Northwestern.

And contrary to current enablers, it is two recruiting classes.

He took over in December, signing day is in February. That's more of a lost year than it is recruiting class for the current staff. Keep reaching Keep hating. And Snyder has been the coach at k-state for years. He has a roster full of his guys and a program that he's built. Yeah they do more with less, but it's not like his roster management is complete crap. We have nothing in the trenches and at qb. You can't win with that. Saban couldn't do much with our team this year. Every injury upfront was devastating. And we had one serviceable qb that makes poor decisions, can't make easy throws and doesn't fit the system our coaches know how to run. But facts don't matter to you. You keep hating.

You seriously brought up Saban? So you think if Saban took over on December 4 of 2014 that Nebraska would have looked the way they did yesterday? Shouldn't winning at Nebraska be urgent enough that one single JUCO is signed on the OL/DL over the last 2 years, and now what looks to be going on 3, if the roster is so depleted there? Maybe I am a hater for wanting urgency in the roster evaluation and turnaround if it's that bad?

Make all the jokes you want, but how do you correct a mismanaged roster and lack of depth at key positions with one recruiting class? Enlighten me
Riley is supposed to, just not Parrella. That guy is brilliant.

Which Juco's would you have signed

I asked you. As a bloner who spins in circles bitching, you should have all the answers. You made the claim, now back it. You ever think maybe they are trying to grow it the right way, and not screw up the roster in the process? As a bloner, that is hard for you to comprehend.

Keep hoping for a Kstate record and all of their titles. You and the other whiners demand title games. Guess what slapnuts, the kitties aint sniffing that. You are welcome to become a kittie fan. Or recycle another username and start over again.

Pathetic
