As soon as we get Trev, and he hires Scott... the offense here will look just the same as it did in the 90s. Literally the minute they walk in the door. Then the "strength" program will be dominant again, and we will cover-up major crimes by our players because they had a rough up-bringing. It realls is all so simple. But they run the option...

If only. We have a segment of our fanbase that looks up to someone who wrote basically that word for word to the University president (he claims). It is very cute, considering the same guy claims to have turned down the job of University president.I love the smell of fresh Sarcasm in the Morning!!
Not sure exactly what you meant by this, but relevant at 3-7? He's been at Ga Tech since 2007.but Johnson has them at least relevant.
Not sure if serious... If so, all of Riley's losses have been close too and you have been much less forgiving of him (especially with Banker).I think their record is misleading - all of their losses have been close losses
You're talking about them, aren't you?Not sure exactly what you meant by this, but relevant at 3-7? He's been at Ga Tech since 2007.
LOL, I've talked about Kansas too. Doesn't mean they're relevant. You're talking about them, aren't you?

I find it ironic that some people on this board seem to have two sides when looking at stuffNot sure if serious... If so, all of Riley's losses have been close too and you have been much less forgiving of him (especially with Banker).
Your math seems to be wrong. What is Johnsons record at GT in the mighty ACC, at a school located in Atlanta?I find it ironic that some people on this board seem to have two sides when looking at stuff
A. Johnson has a 62% winning record - 2 division titles and one ACC title( vacated)
B. Riley has a 54% winning record - no division or confer titles
Both are having terrible seasons but Johnson is coming off an 11 win season where Riley is coming from a 5 win season - Johnson is a mess but Riley's record is not as bad as it looks as they were close losses according to these posters
I just find it ironic and hypocritical in some ways
I'm not even sure if I'd want Scott as an OC at this point. Who's Alabama OC. I like what they run.As soon as we get Trev, and he hires Scott... the offense here will look just the same as it did in the 90s. Literally the minute they walk in the door. Paul Johnson at Gtech - 98 games 58 wins 35 losses - 62.3% winning record - this is with three wins vacatedYour math seems to be wrong. What is Johnsons record at GT in the mighty ACC, at a school located in Atlanta?
Who is the one being hypocritical here? Also consider this-Georgia Tech was primed for big success this year. They were the consensus pick to win their division. They were preseason ranked #16. So I ask you-which is the more disappointing team relative to expectations? And who freakin' cares if he won 11 games last year? That makes their collapse this season all the more bad. They just ended a 18-year bowl streak too. All of those are facts-facts that you seem all fired up and ready to point out when it makes us look bad, but facts that you just ignore and make excuses for when it concerns another team. So tell me again who the hypocrites are here?I find it ironic that some people on this board seem to have two sides when looking at stuff

It is so awesome. Bloners hate Nebraska so much that they actually believe their own crap. It's a mental disorder. Ignoring facts and STILL denying. Awesome
Deflect. Right. We haven't talked about husker football at all.

False. As soon as you can figure out his actual record, you can start with your hypocrisy againPaul Johnson at Gtech - 98 games 58 wins 35 losses - 62.3% winning record - this is with three wins vacated
Namecalling? Don't reach so far, you may pull a muscle. Now it's a freeboard thread. We're off the football and into the name calling! Over/under at 2.5 pages.
You make a good point regarding the good will he has from previous years.I find it ironic that some people on this board seem to have two sides when looking at stuff

Could we also let Lawrence and Irving iAs soon as we get Trev, and he hires Scott... the offense here will look just the same as it did in the 90s. Literally the minute they walk in the door. I am still waiting for the resident expert to lie about a coaches win percentage again.Okay, I surrender. I guess I will have to hear Paul Johnson's name for a few more years. But can we agree to write off the fabulous Joe Glenn from future HC speculation?
Nonsense? His past? Explain why he will get it turned around there. As has been explained here sooooo many times, his win percentage at Georgia Tech shows he won't. It is impossible to overcome the past. And newsflash, Atlanta may have a bit more to offer than CorvallisGood coach having a real rough year. Most of this thread is nonsense. He has experienced more success as a college coach than Riley. Thats not to suggest that I want him here. He will get another season to turn it around, and his past suggests that he will.
