Great point. The only streak in sports that may never end Is Pistol Pete Maravich scoring record in college of 3667 points. Of course he only has 3 years to accomplish the fet and if players are that good they won't be in college 4 years to break it.

Don't see anyone scoring over 100 points like Wilt Chamberlain did either.

Cy Young's 511 career wins record in MLB is a record that will never be beaten or even come close to being beaten because of the change in the nature of pitching. Pitchers back in the early 20th century used to start every 2-4 days instead of every 5-6 days like they do now. The most any pitcher in recent years has accumulated is Greg Maddux who got 355 career wins.
