The RTD Ball Crowd Should Be Erect

Flip the turnover +\- and this team becomes somewhat formidable. Not national contender or anything, as we’re just out manned at the skill position and top teams can wear us down, but a team that can run and stop the run will win games if they win the turnover battle. Control the line of scrimmage, consistency, discipline and not turning it over is how we start to build the program again. We have one of those 4. Need to fix the other 3. Then hopefully success will beget more success

Agreed. If Rhule can get the turnovers cleaned up this group might make a jump.

I definitely don’t mind it. Maybe I’m misremembering but I thought at one point the coaches said they eventually want to adapt our offense into something like the current 49ers. I like that style. A lot of physical running with misdirection and play action mixed in.

I will take and tried and true measure , one that has gotten us NC's. We have tried the passing game to mixed results. I just look at Mich vs OSU now . I know all the variables about all of it so don't bring up this or that. We're Nebraska, we run the freakin ball. I hope we're done with all the BS and get back to our DNA. Yeah I know it's not as sexy or entertaining to most but it works. I will say it again, we have to look Wisconsin and Iowa. Yeah I know you wanna be more , but we haven't been. Time will prove this is the way.

Wait...Didn't we try that during the Cally era?

Not a huge RTB enthusiast, but it's great to see them near the top in any good statistical categories. And rushing offense and rushing defense are both important to winning in the B1G.

I don't remember it being awesome. I remember it putting up huge numbers against FCS/lower D1 opponents and getting stuffed against good teams.

Callahan would have fielded elite offenses had he stayed. Nebraska would have been elite overall as he could flat out recruit.
