Can you take a team that doesn't even win their division? Can you take a two loss team that did win their division over a team that beat them by 40 pts? Can a 2 loss USC get in there? A 2 loss Wisky over a 1 loss Ohio St if Wisky beats Penn St in the Big Ten title game? This is going to be hilarious.

There is no way in hell two teams from the same conference make the final 4 when neither even win their own division.

Wrong!! Penn st holds the tie breaker over Ohio St. since they beat them. So Ohio St needs help and do not control their own destiny
what i am hoping it does is get rid of divisions in college football and let's let the 2 highest rated teams in the conf play for the right to get in the playoff in the conf champ games. 2 teams from the same conf is just stupid when only 4 get in. instead of letting ville play clemson, clemson will play a crap vt team and ville may still get in despite not having to even play. I am also hoping for more losses from all the 1 and 2 loss teams so we can have Row the Boat play Bama.
OSU would control their own fate if they come out Tuesday at 2 in the polls. If they win out how do you not put them in the playoff after beating 3 top ten teams.
My top 4 teams are different than who I would put in the playoff and also prob different than who I project to put in the playoff (based off of what I think will happen the next few weeks.)
Personally, I feel Louisville is better than Clemson but that doesn't mean anything. They played each other and Clemson won. Clemson is going to win their division next week when they beat Wake Forest. How could you put Ville ahead of them? You'd have to be insane.
The Big Ten is a total cluster. If PSU beats Wisky in the conf champ game, I would take PSU over Ohio St even though I think Ohio St would be a double digit favorite on a neutral field.
I would then take Row The Boat as team #4 assuming they win out. I think they deserve a chance over whatever teams win the crappy Big 12 and Pac 12 if we're truly interested in giving every team a chance to show us they are the best.

I think they do get in playoff but will not be in conference title game. Crazy year in Big 10!

You have them in your playoff which is bs. USC in power ranking is also off base with 3 losses
No way Western Michigan gets in even if they go undefeated. Their biggest win is over Northwestern. They haven't even beaten a single FBS team with a winning record. Not even close to good enough. It's clear the Playoff committee doesn't think much of them either as they sit at #21. The committee would have to have a major change of heart for them to even get near #4.
I'm saying what I think. I know they have no chance....it's a pathetic system we have when you can win every game and not even be near given a chance to win the title. Do we think they are one of the 4 best teams? No. Are our opinions often wrong about college football? All the time.
i'll let you in on a little secret. some teams get better between the start of the season and now. some teams get worse. usc even beat colorado a few weeks ago, outgaining them by 170 yds. then you may have even noticed that usc slapped around the #4 team in the country on the road today in a game that wasn't close at all.
I just can't wait to see how the SEC will show up in the Playoff Poll on Tuesday 
Not sure why Florida was pushed out of the Top 25 in their rankings last week when only 2 losses and the 2nd best record in the SEC.

The season doesn't end today. No one is right on their Top 4 at this point.
As we saw today, things can drastically change in a hurry!!
If the season ends with Alabama undefeated, the Playoff Committee might just give them the Championship without a playoff.
Maybe a playoff is needed some years. That doesn't mean that it is needed every year...

ITS A JOKE THAT ITS NOT AN 8 TEAM PLAYOFF. IMO, 4 keeps the talking heads and power brokers prominent and well off ( remember it was 2 for a long time, to reward ABC ).
I had to throw WV in there since they are a 1-loss P5 school. B12 is very weak this year. I completely agree. WV should be their only chance of making the playoff though.

Every team gets injuries and the middle/end of the conference season can really wear on teams... all teams. Maybe the SEC has it right by scheduling a creampuff this time of year for a second "bye week" to help the players be ready for the last couple games.
