I know there has been a lot of confusion on this since some say that traveling should have been called on it. I have a good friend who is/was a HS referee and this was his reply to me when I asked him about it: "You can move your feet on a spot throw in. But, there is a "3 foot window" in which to throw in from. I don't believe college is any different. But I'm a Husker fan so I am calling that one. Ha ha"

He also told me it isn't traveling, but just simply an out of bounds violation. He definitely moved more than three feet and should have been an obvious call. Not sure I have ever seen anyone move that far on a dead ball inbounds play. I know we would still have to make a shot to tie it, but man, just another in a line of bad, bad calls by the refs in this league. I don't think they are biased. I just think they are bad. Kelly Pfeiffer should have been fired a long time ago.

I should also clarify. It is not 3 feet to the right and 3 feet to the left. It is 3 feet total. So basically you get 1.5 feet to your right and left to in bound the ball. I believe you can still have a foot in the "window" and still be good.

Here is when the in bounder got the ball:

And here he is where he moved his farthest from his original spot. I put a line at the original spot and a line where he is now. He basically moved over at least 3+ chairs. It looks like 5 or 6 feet to me. There is no way he has any part of his body in the original window, by a long ways.
