Meh, moving on
Actually I agree we should all move on from losing at Wisky. However, the issue of a non call on a clear targeting situation is an important topic to discuss regardless of the game itself. This penalty is needed in my view, but it does have big problems in how unevenly it is enforced. There seems to be no clear rule of thumb that refs follow and it changes drastically from one officiating crew to the next.

If you spend time stewing over missed penalties days after the game is finished you will eventually take residence in an insane asylum. Officials miss multiple penalties in every single college game played during the season. This is a fact of life. You can only hope that the missed calls balance out. Also, they don't show Husker games in the asylum.

Maybe I missed it, but did anyone bring up the ref in the end zone after Wisconsin's first TD? After the player scored, he immediately began smiling and then slapped the Wisconsin player on the butt. Not sure how you can call the officials unbiased after that kind of garbage.

I rarely like to base a decision of a penalty off a still photo. I'd like to see a video of that play as well then make a determination.
