I have watched with amazement at the effort and excellence with which this entire staff recruits at. For so many years I had hoped that we would end up with enough "diamonds in the rough" that we could develop and hopefully improve our play over time. What a joy it is to hear my fellow scroller's so excited by the probability of signing some real diamonds. We are so unaccustomed to being seriously considered by these highly rated recruits that some have suggested purging our roster and over-signing so as not to waste this chance. I agree that we need to take advantage of the opportunities but I also am starting to believe that this level of recruiting will be the new normal.
I believe that next year we will again be trying to squeeze some real talent into a few limited slots.
