The good thing about Coach Prime

Prime's antics are exactly the result of the moronic handling of college football. Of course, there is going to be the lowest common denominator. When paying players illegally was ignore, one conference became the pay for play kings and they dominated college football. When you allow NIL then someone will scavenge along the bottom of the pile.

He makes it easy to hate Colorado.
University of Colorado is not serious about football. they’re not gonna spend the money or put in the effort. But they acknowledge at some level it’s good to not be a laughingstock. So, they resort to gimmicks and shortcuts. They’ll be a 2 win team within a couple of years, then someone new can pickup the pieces.

Im pissed we lost to them. It's unfortunate that we were just getting our feet wet in game 2 and our QB was not the guy for this team. I am thoroughly enjoying watching the Puffs struggle with their clown coach. Excited for what the future holds for us and them. Hoping we get the last laugh.

If you think its a shit show now wait until he leaves after his kids are gone. Colorado will have a complete roster of mercenaries who will scatter into the wind when Sanders leaves. They will set the program back a decade. People in Boulder can go back to smoking weed and playing hacky sack and quit acting like they care about the Puffs. It will be one of the worst jobs in the country.

I get why it's still a topic of discussion, but not sure why we care so much. I wouldn't trade Rhule for Prime and that's enough for me. However, I think it's way too early to write him off from the perspective of whether he'll be successful. Especially in the short term and moving to the Big 12.

I can admit I was one of them. They had just knocked off TCU on the road and then beat us badly with a team put entirely together through the portal.
TCU is not the TCU of last season and if we played then the way we are playing now, most likely we beat Colorado.

it's still somewhat impressive that he flipped a roster, won a few games, and kept pace with USC.

that said, i don't think building a culture of NBA-flavored divas is going to do much more than attract a few flashy players and beat some terrible teams.

The flashy player’s he will attract are the trash talking punks like Travis Hunter and his two kids.

That Hunter can ball out. If I was him, Id transfer to USC, keep my mouth shut and put up huge numbers. Then you become a first round draft pick that many teams salivate over. Stop this playing both ways nonsense. That is just stupid. Coach Sanders is doing you no favors

I think you're more than likely correct.

sCUm strength of schedule #12 - Huskers #56. Not to mention sCUm is/was a much bigger rebuild. Might have something to do with it 🤷‍♂️

Certainly not writing him off just yet.
Sure, that makes a difference, but he is also a play or two away from 2-6. Arguably, he should have lost to CSU, and also ASU. Absolutely their schedule is tougher.

LeSean McCoy was calling Sanders out for calling out the OLine. He pointed to the fact that his defense gave up 46 points to Stanford (“they’re smart, but they’re not good at football”) in one half of football.

I know we shouldn’t write them off just yet. But they sure aren’t helping themselves, as a head coach and as a team of cocky players who are all about the individual and not the team.

Well, by that logic, he's also only a play or two away from being 6-2. With the only 2 losses to ranked opponents.

The guy who's all about himself and his son just landed the #4 QB in the 2025 class to replace him. You think there's not gonna be more?

Just because a handful of obsessed internet posters with major Deion insecurities (up to 6 Deion threads on the main page now) say something, it doesn't make it true.

While I agree with you about his kids, I think Travis Hunter actually seems pretty cool. How he handled that with the CSU player, and clips I watch that are shown on Twitter with his podcast, he seems relatively down to earth and like a good dude. And that is hard for me to say.

@Landomatic,

Touché and good point. I still think Deion has his work cut out for him to keep it all together. I think it more likely for them to fall apart then come back stronger, unless they change how they approach the team. I know Deion doesn’t like the word ‘culture,’ but they need to address that if they are gonna be better next year.

dont know what the sanders sideshow will become in the future. think it will fail badly for many involved. is somewhat entertaining in a negative way.

Agreed I hate Colorado, just for every reason under the sun! I would think if he has a good portal this off season they will be strong next year, who knows? Appears as though he could be allot like Scott Frost, more talk than results.

He could go anywhere he wants.. USC would be one of the last I'd pick

Is there a possibility Deion is able to reflect on himself and change the person he is? Drop the act and become a better coach? Actually GROW as a human being? IDK. His persona seems to be who he is his entire career no matter what he's done.
Most of his schtick is what attracts and brings players to him. Its not like he has a long historied track record of winning at this level. Its all persona. Past glory. When(if) people begin to see past that, he's not going to get the players he wants. Snap judging and throwing them under the bus publicly constantly does him no favors either.
He's gonna have to show it on the field eventually because he's already wearing thin. Thanks to being the media darling social push of the week, he'll get a pass for now.
Will he get great athletes, you bet. Will they only be there for a payday? So far, so good.
Distractions from learning, discipline and playing for each other and the greater is what we've seen so far. It doesn't create wins in the long run, no matter how much boasting, bragging and excuse making you do.

winning % of Colorado's opponents: 0.553
winning % of Nebraska's opponents: 0.500

for reference, a 7-5 team has a greater winning % than either of those

you're the guy that has a weird Deion fetish though

I think (and fear) that Prime and Colorado may make a big jump next year. These guys have hardly practiced together. If Prime follows through and revamps his line and then gets a few more stellar athletes, they might be pretty dangerous and Deion will grow as a coach. College football is never as cut and dried as people get to thinking it is.

This.

Not sure why it's so hard to ignore his antics for some people. He has been a proven winner through most of his life. He makes people uncomfortable especially in this neck of the woods. I wouldn't want him for our coach but that doesn't mean he can't be a good coach somewhere else. For so many people that hate on him around here, it is weird how often his name is at the top of many ops. If you don't like him why give him any attention at all? What he is doing at CU has little affect on what's happening at NU.

0% chance of that happening

I friggin deplore Sanders but I think he will draw his share of good recruits that like his style . I think they get much better next year. Sanders won't go out a loser . I see him taking another job after success at Buffville.
