Can't wait for the season to start for obvious reasons. Focusing on X's and O's is something the team really needs to grow, and that is obvious but it is especially true in Nebraska's case right now.

There is a misleading, and somewhat pathetic tone constantly being set in with this program. This desperate "last chance to be good" and over-analyzing what Nebraska hasn't done recently narrative that you all know and have heard from local and national media to coaches to message boards. And this is going on even when Frost is getting credit because it's always pointed out how he's coming to save our livelihoods or however they like to put it, so, mostly this comes in a back handed tongue in cheek fashion.

Obviously there are those out there who want to believe this false narrative is true, and they will continue to repeat it until Nebraska reaches some unrealistic standard. This is not reality.
How can anyone think the Nebraska program (and fans) can only be happy with repeating the same success from a previous era?
It may be an over stated point but the extremely weak culture Eichorst and Riley had created allowed this narrative to really overtake and now poison the program and its national narrative even further. It was sort of a dark cloud in previous years but Bo's personality despite the obvious faults made for a healthier self identity and national perception.
There's really nothing wrong with building a team from the ground up and enjoying the ups and downs along the way. It's not this dire case of being the last chance to succeed. Enjoy the ride and the growth of the team.
