Here are a couple from today's online reads. The first is about Minnesota basketball: “making his uphill road to rebuilding the Minnesota program even deeper.” How does an uphill road go deeper? Must be a Gopher thing.
Number two is from an article on portal impact on Big Ten football. It was lauding Nebraska’s acquisition of OL Ben Scott. “Scott started at tackle and center at Arizona State and left spring as the favorite to man the pivot for the Huskers in '23”. When I first read this, it confused me. I wasn’t sure what kind of offense Arizona State was running that had a position called left spring but since he was stated to be a pivot maybe he was going to play basketball as well.
