Just now getting to watch Coach Riley's presser. Thought his words on the ebb and flow of a game were instructive for us during the game threads. It seems we are quick to react to both and not accepting to the other.

It would be fun to go back through the game thread to see that! I know for myself, when we scored 21 points in a row, I was saying, "C'mon, let's put them away now." Of course we didn't. Then when they came back, then stopped us, then scored again to take the lead, I know some of us posted "Ballgame over" or stuff like that. Of course our guys didn't give up and we ended up scoring, ended up winning.

"Ebb and flow of the game."

For myself, I'm going to try to keep that phrase in mind when things are ebbing when I only want flowing, particularly this year with this team. We simply are not yet where we want to be (Top Ten, Championship/Title contender, nationally respected and relevant, feared) and likely won't be this year given deficits at DE, youth on OL and other things you all know better than I. I think that will at least help me keep my head better during these games, particularly when it feels like it might be slipping away. Ebb and flow. :)
