This weak thread is still alive? Let me help out. I can tell you who we really should have hired: Steve Sipple!

That’s right. Steve Sipple, proof that Lincoln is just a small town with an even smaller town newspaper. He is the one guy whose hiring could put a pulse back in this dead discussion board. Instead of debating crap like whether Iowa is relevant, whether Jayskers are real football fans, whether the sellout streak exists anymore, whether six wins is possible against our impossibly difficult (by our lame standards) schedule etc. etc. we could instead be ripping on Coach Steve Sipple. Steve Sipple, who in good times and bad is always considered the enemy. With Steve as coach we would celebrate 3 or 4 win seasons instead of getting bummed out.

Won his 2nd national title at his second school. Keeler wins it at Sam Houston today. Happy for him. Passes Tressel on all time playoff victories as well.

He's recruiting the same kind of talent at Wyoming that he did at NDSU and playing in a tougher league. He was able to recruit his league's footprint pretty well at NDSU. The other factors IMO are that he's getting older and left one of his best assistants behind. What Saban is still doing at his age amazes me.

I think you are selling Bohl short. He took over a program that was iin the toilet and is making them respectable. Not saying he is setting the world on fire, but he is making Wyoming a good team recruiting the same way he has for years. He has a system and makes the best of it.
