The B1G will be a much tougher conference next season

USC new QB
Oregon new QB
Washington new QB

these teams will all be average or worse next year

in other words, typical B1G teams
Riley will just plug in another Heisman QB like he's done the past 6 years, and Oregon plays tougher defense than 90% of the B1G.

Washington gives me the same vibe as 2022 Tennessee. Overachieving due to a QB who graduated HS a decade ago.

I'm waiting to see what the Conference schedules look like for 2024 with Oregon and Washington now in the plan.

Your comment was compared to after this season..

what’s going to be the records of USC, Washington, Oregon and UCLA this season..
the OP is about next year when they join the B1G

next year 3 of 4 won't have their generational talents at QB and thus will be average or worse than average.

I welcome the new teams to the B1G but damn, the path to relevancy in our own conference looks like a straight uphill cliff to me starting next year.

We haven't even been relevant in our own division.

Average is 6-6… you said average or worse..
3of the 4 could have 11-2 records this year..

Lol. They aren’t Neb. They reload. They don’t think mid 3* are the ticket to titles like we do. USC has 5* committed and a sick backup. Oregon is plug and play.

Washington won't have a replacement for Penix Jr. That guy is special.

On the other hand, Moore for UCLA will be a sophomore with a full year as starter under his belt, and should be much improved.

If we had to play five or six of the toughest teams in the expanded conference every year that would be problematic, but we won’t. But we surely won’t be lucky enough to play the cupcake schedule (except Meechicken) that we have this year. This thread was really needed and therefore I had to contribute.🤣

Those teams won't have the kind of talent that they have next year. However, they could still recruit some blue chip QB's in the next season and pick up where they left off. If they were able to attract that kind of talent once, there is no reason why they couldn't continue to do so.

Feel like Mike Tyson and his bodyguards are coming over to the house and have something to prove. Meanwhile a little girl named Minnesota has us pinned on the floor and its not a ruse, she does it with regularity.

Guess I am not worried about the big boys until we are competitive with the little fellas.
