I just wanted to a moment and say thank you to Coach Riley and Meyer for growing boys into men. Both Coach Riley and Meyer could of not suspended key starters for the first game against a difficult opponent. In both games, I think you could say it will/would influence the game - Nebraska (Carter, Rose-Ivey, and Rose) and OSU (Bosa). I mentor a kid and he was once asked what it means to be a man. He stated more eloquently than I ever could, accepting the consequences for your actions. So, thank you for showing these guys there are consequences for their actions, and even more so, growing boys in men which gets lost in football some time.
Sadly, I can't say the same about Bronco Mendenhall, who put winning above all. There were atleast two boys on the field who should of been disciplined for their actions against Memphis who weren't, so instead of teaching them it is not acceptable for their part in a brawl he rewarded them.
In short, I am proud of our coach and the men he is growing up. Looking forward to the rest of the season.
