Post 1 (Creighton Prep). Bring it home boys! Baseball has, and always will be where there is plenty of Prep talent in this state.
I have nothing against Prep. But, I am NOT a fan of them bringing back Legion babies the last several years and taking spots from kids that played on the spring team, which forces them to play for another school team or the Millard Sox programs. Doesn't sound right. Don't see other bigger Class A schools (Millard W, S, N, Westside, etc..) doing this. And don't tell me "all the other states do it" why shouldn't Nebraska teams do so. Most states don't embrace legion baseball like Nebraska does. Very few Legion teams in the more highly populated states (best kids are playing on travel teams) so talent pool is greatly diminished.Post 1 (Creighton Prep). Bring it home boys! Essentially there is a date by which a kid must be born to play legion baseball, and it may or may not coincide with their grade in school. So the "bonus babies" are the players who have been removed from high school for a year but are still young enough to play Legion baseball. What are legion babies?

Why.
My gawd, someone dumb enough to think Omaha public schools dont recruit. Pure ignorance and delusion.Prep has been cheating for decades. Even though it's a violation of NSAA rules, they have recruited athletes from local public schools, offering them "academic" scholarships.
See Kerry Trotter
How did Akoy Arop quailfy to enroll at Prep?
I could go on, but it won't change anything.
Prep is to the NSAA what texASS is to the BigXII.
He forgot to scream "run the ball" at the end of that stellar rant of butthurt from his pathetic past.Oh man, please go on! Please!

Trotter? From 1980s? THATS what youve got?
Arop i dont understand.
Face it, youre jealous....of a bunch of high schoolers. Probably got your ass kicked and still butthurt.
Prep is an outstanding institution with outstanding history of players, coaches, and teachers. Put a lot of good young men into the world.
I hope they keep recruiting and enable kids who otherwise couldnt get one a religious and steller education while preparing them for college.

You guys know there are around five different legion World Series in the United States? When I played my team got invited to one in Ohio and one in Tennessee in the same year.
Nope. Nice try. Try legion.org and see how many it brings up.You guys know there are around five different legion World Series in the United States? When I played my team got invited to one in Ohio and one in Tennessee in the same year.

Not confused at all.Prep, you must have me confused with someone else.
The only thing I scream is "Win!!"
I'm one of those guys who wanted Bo gone and I'm still not convinced that "Smiley" can get it done. I hope he does and I'm pulling for him.
BTW, with an August birthday, I played legion ball after my freshman year in college.

Bunch of Omaha kids are down to their last out. Get ready to celebrate them losing!!!Hmmm...Prep used to be a Catholic school, just like all the other Catholic schools in town.
The non-Catholic athletes receiving "academic" scholarships are taking a scholarship away from a deserving Catholic young man, simply because they are a premier athlete.
I know many Prep alumnae that participated in their "work-study" program to help with their tuition. Do you think these athletes are doing "work-study?"
Get lit! They lost! You partying yet?Hmmm...Prep used to be a Catholic school, just like all the other Catholic schools in town.
