TE to watch in the portal

i don’t think he was extremely happy with his production last year. Think he’s looking at OU and an offense that is more TE friendly. And not a knock on MS

I might not be happy about much right now but I do like Satterfield. Think he’s a fantastic Offensive Cord. TE just hasn’t been a big part of his offense lately.

Wasn’t Stogner originally at Oklahoma?

I don't know why the portal is intriguing at all. Now that Prime is at Colorado, he's getting all of them.

What type of numbers indicate a TE friendly offense? I looked up the NCAA statistics the top TE averaged 5.8 receptions a game that had him tied for 31st. The second TE on the list was tied for 40th with 5.6 per game, the next was 77th with 4.9 per game, then tied for 82nd with 4.8 per game, and then 122nd with 4.3 per game. I could keep going, but the common theme is none of these guys have any other TE’s on the list from their team and the NCAA list the top 202 players with receptions. So if there are other TE’s on those teams with receptions they average less than 3 per game.

I looked up South Carolina’s TE numbers they had 4 TE’s combine for 56 catches on the year, that’s an average of 4.7 receptions per game. That would tie their TE group for 88th.
