Tavita Thompson is on the road recruiting

Another board hinting that Tavita will be visiting Alaric Williams, the RB target committed to Auburn.

Edit: I'm not exactly sure if that's quite right. Looks like Davis will be down Birmingham way. Maybe Tavita will partner up.

When did Darnay Holmes become an OSU lock? I thought it was NU vs a couple West coast schools? Good grief!

Can anyone provide some incite into coach Thompson. All I could find on the internet is that he's a graduate assistant coach in his 2nd year, brought over from Oregon St.?

Did our players like him?
People talk about him like he's a monster recruiter, akin to Ed Orgeron(spelling?). Is he a good recruiter? If so, who is he responsible for sighing in last years class?

Is the fact that he's out recruiting mean that he's going to be offered a slot as a position coach now?

Thanks.

NU has been out of the Darnay Holmes race for a long while. He was thought to be a UCLA lean due to dad and girlfriend. But lately, his focus has been more on Michigan and OSU, and obviously OSU putting themselves out front.

From all accounts Coach Riley loves what Tavita has to offer. Since we don't have our full complement of coaches, Tavita (or some other designated body) can be out recruiting instead. So Tavita does not have the position as of now, but we'd probably all be highly surprised if he isn't hired in short order.

He's probably not Ed Orgeron, but he's the kind of guy you don't want to get away either.

IMO he'd be a great hire and a nice complement for Cav coaching the big guys. Then go grab someone like Doug Colman for that additional ST coach slot that should pass this spring.

Danny should work on tucking the shirt in and releasing it properly. Or, wear a jacket of some type to cover up that mess. Sorry, it's a pet peeve of mine.

Ha, with those pants, ain't no jacket covering that up.

You should have seen him bumming around Bloomington the morning of the game.

@JoshHarveyScout @NebraskaOnScout Forget all the WR'S !! Recruit some linemen who can protect a QB ! #WrongFocus
I'm not sold on the 3 kids we have committed for 2017. We still need a big-time stud offensive tackle to top off this class.

Well I hope you'd be at least somewhat sold. Sarrell can't play the whole line by himself.

Jamies is going to be a good one. He will be our starting LT someday unless Sarell comes here.

Next commit? Another crystal ball for Damion Daniels to NU today. Announcing next week I think.
They'll also go to Dallas to see Damion Daniels. Nebraska is considered the heavy favorite to land Daniels, and the Huskers will hope this visit solidifies that. They'd also like to land Daniels' teammate Chevin Calloway, who is a former Iowa commit.
