As a neutral observer, looks to me as if Nebraska passed Iowa according to this ranking.
they have always had better recruiting classes, so the class ratings don't mean much until 2-3 years later. for example these in the 2016 class ended up AA
2* TE Hockenson AP 1st Team AA Mackey Award Winneer as a RSSO
3* TE Fant 3rd Team AA
3* SS Hooker 2nd Team AA
Last seasons top players
2* RB Wadley
2* CB Jackson 2nd rnd draft pick as a true JR starter for the Packers
2* MLB Jewell AA NFL pick now starting for the Denver Bronco's
2* OLB NFL draft pick starter for the Chiefs
Star ranking only tells part of the story.
going into today Iowa's class was rated 50th after got 3 more commits giving the 19 they are now up to 36th, also these are the 4* by 247
OL Miller
OL Endres
LB Jacobs AA Game
TE Lee Chicago Open WR/TE MVP.
if Rivals would actually give the Iowa coaches for know what to look and being able to recruit top talent the rankings would be higher
HC Kirk Ferentz Head OL Coach for the Ravins
OC/TE Coach Brian Ferentz TE coach for the NE Patriots
QB Coach O'Kieff was the WR/Offenses advisor for the Dolphins
LB Coach Wallace the former RC For his previous school and Iowa before he was named the LB Coach
do you really think that coaches that played a major role in drafting players to play in the Pro's but can't Identify players to play at the college level?
