yesterday in 25 mins. She had 18 in the 1st quarter, all in the paint. I was anxious to watch her play and wasn't disappointed. She has really good skills and is big, if Maryland hadn't joined the B10 I would predict several B10 titles for the Huskers. With Rachel and Jess they have a incredible pick and roll game. Rachel must be loving it knowing she's going to get a lot more room to operate. Simon, the freshman out of Lincoln, looks really athletic and should be a really good player before she leaves. I think Yori is our most underrated coach.

good for her ...likely will have a very good season

but are you really surprised by the fact there isn't a lengthy thread discussing a womens exhibition game against Winona State??

I am surprised given she committed so long ago and is one of the top 3 freshmen in the country. I've been waiting to see how good she was and as Yori said she was phenomenal. Better left hand that most men her age and incredible around the glass getting position and scoring. I can't wait until they play UConn and see how she does against the best talent in the game (assumption based on history).

yeah, gees, can't believe there aren't more woman's basketball threads on a forum dedicated almost exclusively to football...

I'm not following basketball yet, but thank you for the heads up and info. Love to know what other sports are up to. Met a former Husker volleyball player from the late 80's ('87-'91). Didn't get her name. She said she was from Michigan, but went to school at NU on a volleyball scholarship. Small world.

Nice disclaimer with "almost exclusively" which means all Husker threads are welcome. If we had Tiger Woods as a freshman I would want to know even though I have never followed college golf - hell we probably don't have a team. My point was she may be a once in a lifetime talent produced by this state, most Husker fans I know would find that of interest.
