I just roared with laughter. U of Maryland-Baltimore County went up 14 on Virginia. Jim Nantz points out that UMBC had never defeated an ACC team. And in fact has only beaten one Power 5 team in their history. That was...you guessed it...Nebraska a few years ago.
I'm guessing Virginia will pull it off, but they better find some offense
I was at that UMBC-Nebraska game. Yuck.
Dare I say this might be slightly more embarrassing for Virginia.I must have successfully repressed that from my memory. It must have been extremely traumatic.

Virginia also has the Chaminade loss hanging over them.
And UMBC no longer has to say that the biggest win in program history is over Nebraska. That has to be a load off their mind.UMBC now has more NCAA tournament wins than Nebraska.

I wanted the Jays to win, but they were butt-ugly awful today. Seemed fortunate to only lose by 10.Creighton blew a huge sweet 16 opportunity too.. Bleh...
Looks like if Michigan St can hang on it’s going to be a great sweet 16 here in Omaha...
Doesn’t matter who wins between Clemson and Auburn.

So one of the last at large teams in the dance (and a team a few on here said shouldn’t get in) just knocked off the regular season #1 BIG team, in their home state.
Anyone still want to debate the quality of the level of basketball in the mighty Big 10 this year?
