The optimist in me would see it as gritty not pretty performance. It’s odd as not every game will go as expected but this team has an odd way of overcoming more often than not.

Portions of the game, yes. Gutting out a win to complete a conference road sweep? No.

3-0 and in sole possession of first place in the league feels pretty, pretty, pretty good.

Going from 6-2 to 7-6 was frustrating. Only scoring 1 run each with multiple runners to start an inning was frustrating. Northwestern is what, 10-15 now? But sweeping them is definitely crucial.

NU went 15-2 in March. Not too shabby.

We had a lot of line drives robbed that made the game closer initially. We have 3 right a the wall that were caught and they get a three that go right over the wall. I would say more so unlucky in many respects but I get what you are saying as even that is frustrating at times.

We do need to find a way not to fall asleep in the middle innings after taking a big lead but still find ways to win which is good.

Overall winners find a way to win and losers find a way to lose.
