Glad we're blowing the doors off them again, but this makes Friday all the more disappointing.

Agreed, but that one felt especially awful because of a blown 9th-inning lead and because it was part of a really bad week-plus. If we had won a game or two at Iowa, we might be saying, “Baseball happens,” and “It’s hard to sweep anybody.” Those things are true regardless of the context.

I think we’re about to find out what this team is made of. The last weekend road trip was a disaster. Up next, after the Wednesday tilt with NDSU, is a series at Maryland. The Terps are winners of seven straight, and in first place having just swept Indiana in Bloomington.

Nebraska could be anywhere from alone in 1st place to alone in 9th place this time a week from now. Buckle up.
