Yeah...no individual game in baseball is crucial to success (until the postseason), but this one definitely feels weightier than others.
The internet audio broadcast isn’t scheduled to start until 11:30 CT. WHAT?!?! I can’t watch BTN. Is anyone listening on an actual radio right now?
I am not but will be in about 30 minutes. Wonder why they wouldn’t start until 11:30.
100% a big game to gain some bullpen confidence back before Tuesday.
Clearly, whoever set up the schedule for today’s audio streaming struggled with the time difference. It got fixed and I only missed two batters.
I don’t know when Bolt will learn Walsh is not a pitcher. Back to back hitters with 2 strikes get hit by pitch. 🤦♂️
I had a bunch of complaints but I’ve decided to accept that sometimes a team can hit the ball hard all day and only score 4 runs. I do have two bigger-picture pitching concerns, though:
1. Drew Christo’s decline continues. From Friday starter to Saturday to Sunday. A two-inning start today. Tournament play requires at least three solid starters. We have two and need Drew to put it together.
2. Free pass-itis has infected the pitching staff of late. 6 BB and 2 HBP today. No bueno.
