Just read the Anderson article. Pretty cool the respect between Bolt and Childress. First, Bolt didn't true to lure Anderson after he committed to A&M. Then Childress connected Anderson with Nebraska when the pandemic shook things up.

Throw back thread here. Just thinking of how Max Anderson wouldn’t have been a Husker had Covid not thrown baseball into a loop.
Kind of funny to hear Erstad admit on the radio during the Friday night Illinois game that he didn't even try to recruit Max 🤦‍♂️ unacceptable.

So Bolt didnt try to grab the best player in the state from 50 miles away because he had commited to his buddies school. Should have been fired right then. When you take another job, you have zero allegiance to other schools or coaches. You recruit the best players possible for your team. You never refuse to go after a player for a stupid reason like that. You are paid damn good money to win here and if that player will help you do that then you do it. Would he stop recruiting an Iowa commit
