So I am going through my photos on my computer and I a came across this picture. I felt obligated to share this story, since it all started on a Rivals forum.
A few years ago someone started a “Caption This” thread with the following photo of Suh in the Big 12 Championship game vs Texas. I read through several pages of captions and I was laughing my ass off. We were all searching for positives and ways to vent after that game.
I pulled out two of my favorite captions and put them together on the provided photo and reposted the image in the same thread. About a month later I walk into a clients office and I see an 8.5 x 11 inkjet printout of the "Suh - Caption This" pinned on his wall. I didn’t say where it came from, I just laughed and thought it was pretty cool.
Three months after that, I was at Pro Tint getting tint put on my windows. I was walking around the store and noticed there was a framed printout of the “Suh - Captions This” on the wall. I struck up a conversation with the owner and I told him the story of how it all started on a rivals forum. He said Suh was getting tint work done and notice the picture on the wall. Apparently Suh found pretty funny and signed it for him. The owner said Suh asked if he could get a copy to take with him. The owner printed one off for him. It was at that time I realized how many people are on rivals and how fun it is to be part of the community. Just thought I would share this story for fun and reflection.
