Somewhere lost in all of this is ex NFL guy & one-time St. Louis Rams general manager, Billy Devaney who was brought in by ADSE as the Huskers executive director of player personnel and the special assistant to the head coach. It was/is a new position that ADSE proposed. Coach Mike Riley was all for it. Devaney will directly oversee NU's recruiting department — but he'll be asked for his input on virtually everything else.

I can't help but feel Billy is kind of a juztaposed voice to HCMR's. As an overseer of sorts, and with his NFL general managers experience, I'm thinking he had his fair share of input to these developments.

What's done is done so now the red hot story will be: "Who's getting hired"
