Stovall, Dismuke pulled over by LPD

Another thing is why does it seem Frost players are the ones smoking weed. Did Rileys players never smoke? I don't recall any of his guys getting busted while he was here. Him being from the west coast, I would think he would hand that shit out at team meetings. Frost has had 4 ? Don't remember for sure. Wandale, Washington, Dismuke and Stovall. All over the course of 6 weeks.
Now don't get me wrong I will happily take a few drug charges in exchange for a winning football team. If it takes them all smoking pot to win games, so be it. lol
Are you serious? What about Keyshawn Jr? Stanley Morgan and Antonio Reed also got busted together in Florida.

Looks as if Scooter has little influence or control over the program. You would think Moose would at least make a statement.

Whatever makes you feel better Wiscy fan. Wiscy will continue to trend down. Why don’t you do yourself a favor and get off message boards, and get outside and enjoy that one month of summer.

same happened for us when we saw ziggy down at the bars after every game. win or lose he was at the rail. I told the buds the same thing about drinkin/partying after an embarrassing loss. id rather see these guys smoke a bowl and let their body's recover and get right in the head. the perception of weed will never change as long as everybody keeps believing the dog crap that comes from T.O.'s mouth. and as bad as it seems my respect level for T.O. keeps going lower and lower the more he opens his mouth about things he doesn't/won't understand .

Perhaps you can direct me to some research that shows it is harmless. You can't condemn one person's thinking without having your own questioned. The research I have seen which is not exhaustive is not positive.

This is the most idiotic statement I have ever seen. These are 17-22 year old kids. Every single person in that age range or who has ever been in that age range has made mistakes or done stupid things. Only difference is these kids are in the national spotlight every single day. So when they make stupid mistakes the whole country knows about it. It happens at every single program in the country. It has very little to do with who the coach is. If you try to tell me it doesn't you are idiot or a liar.

I'm always shocked when college students get caught with weed or some sort of driving citation.
People lost control of their colons when Bando Jr. boosted the bikes, but players smoking the chronic is no biggie. Sure, property theft is worse than possession of cheeb. But I don't see why the players can't grasp the following two concepts.
1. dabbling with pot is a ticket and a violation of team rules.
2. the LPD does not have a history of letting sh*t slide and officers smell first and ask questions later.
At least attempting to hide your violation of a team rule shows some respect for the rule (edibles, sneak-a-toke pipe use in an out of the way location). Hanging a blunt out of your car window does not (exaggerating, but probably not by much).

Took three pages, but I learned something new...some people call weed "cheeb". Interesting, never heard that.

Could you imagine the school president making a statement every time a student got busted for drinking or pot? Hahaha

To all:

Today, Amy Johnson, was cited while leaving the Tri Lamb Fraternity house for possession of a doobie, she claimed she was heading over to the Alpha Beta house"

Dumb and Dumber is the law. Like laws telling you what kind of sex is ok. If only the government would protect us from ourselves. Oh lawdy! What would I do without the government telling me what to do in my personal life?
Right or wrong I believe most of the laws that the USA has are biased of the judaea/Christian beliefs when the founding fathers wrote the constitution and formed a republic form of government. Like following the 10 commandments. Are some laws silly today? Yeah like spitting on the sidewalk. Paul Harvey always had a say self government without self discipline doesn’t work. I’m not of fan of legalizing marijuana I believe it will just lead to harder type drug use. That’s jmo. Right now it’s a federal law and law by the state of Nebraska that it’s illegal you use marijuana. I will abide by that law. If Nebraska changes it’s law to legalize it, I won’t like it but I’ll go along with it. No I won’t consume any of it. why shouldn’t the drinking age be dropped to 16? They find a way to get it anyway. I know some of you are for legalizing weed are good to have a cow about the drinking age. But really what is the difference

I'm pretty sure there is no mention of weed in the Bible. Alcohol? It was Jesus' first miracle. Hallelujah!

I was legal to drink at age 19. Seems to me that if you're old enough to serve your country you should be able to legally purchase alcohol.

In countries where teens are allowed to drink, there's less binge drinking. I'm states where recreational marijuana use is legal, teens use it less.

Whatever the case, the evils of weed are way overblown. Alcohol causes way more damage to families and society than weed.

My point is weed is illegal so is alcohol to anyone under 21. But people/ kids still do it, so why shouldn’t the drinking age be 16 if weed is made legal. What is the reason people smoke weed? It’s not for the nice smoke aroma, isn’t it to catch a buzz? Same thing for alcohol you drink to catch a buzz. Actually I find it funny, it’s wasn’t but 25 years ago everyone had to sue the tobacco companies because smoking wasn’t healthy. Now fast forward to now, we need to legalize weed. So in another 25-30 years from now who going to sue whom because weed isn’t healthy for ya. Anyway I appreciate the civil discussion you and I had. Just have to agree to disagree. Carry on!!!

Ah yes, the comparison of one bad thing to another. Alcohol verses weed.

I never understood the comparison of drinking to serving in the military as well. Are they the same thing?

No one ever said it was bad. Moderation is the key.

The serving in the military means that those adults age 19+ should have the same rights as adults aged 21 and older. I see where you stand on alcohol and marijuana usage. My advice to you is to not use them if you don't want to.

Haven't read much in the latter part of this thread. I might be in the minority but I am totally against weed even if the social hipster trendy trend is all for it. Consequently as much as I hate it because both of these guys are highly regarded by the coaches, another lesson needs to be sent to this team. It might cost us the Colorado game but I would think this is a clear violation of team rules. Probably a 2 game suspension but not sure.

Ultimately the kids are important, but the program comes first.

Well, you guessed incorrectly. I don't have a problem with a beer or two, had one last night. I don't do it often but that is my choice. If I felt like a single beer was bad I would not drink it. Marijuana is a drug. It posses serious health concerns. If we truly care about these kids as athletes then we will want them 100% physically and mentally fit both for football and for life. I am guessing you have never been around teenagers who have been using marijuana for several years.

As for being able to drink and serve in the military, that is a common comparison. So one can drive at 16, why not make everything at age 16? I have taught 12 year olds to shoot a firearm, what does that have to do with drinking?

The short and long term effects of alcohol are 100x worse than marijuana. Every scientific study you’ll see acknowledges that.

So it’s baisically 100x easier to turn into a stoner than a drunk. They are both worthless though...isn’t that the point?

I know, I know, the stoners aren’t addicted and can quit whenever they want, except when they don’t.

Alcohol is a drug. I'm not sure why you are being obtuse on the military reference. It really doesn't matter. I just believe that an adult 19+ should be able to legally purchase alcohol, cigarettes and whatever an adult 21+ is able to do.

You keep on moving the goal posts because you have no argument. Next thing you'll be doing is lumping pot smokers in with child porn. Oh wait! That's already been done in another thread.
