I've been a victim of identity theft, twice. Once from a stranger, once from a former spouse.

Had my car burglarized 3 times

Was assaulted (by a male) once at a party

Victim of property theft twice and property vandalism 4 times.

Have had multiple jobs affected by false accusations.

Had the IRS make a false accusation that I had to fight.

The government once garnered my pay because their computers confused me with someone else. It was a giant, expensive ordeal to get it corrected.

Have had the police issue me tickets in error 3 times.

In college had my grades affected by politics.

Had a car and motorcycle (separate accidents) totaled from drivers without a license.

I've seen friends and family have their lives turned upside down because of politics or inaccurate reporting in the workplace and their private lives.

Only once in all these issues did the police prove helpful.

Do I hate the police? No. Do I want sympathy? No. In fact this thread is to remind people we all have challenges, and we have to overcome them without resorting to violence.

I once got burnt fries from McDonalds. Was my dog's birthday and it ruined her party.

37 years ago and prior I was followed by police from every angle. everywhere I went they were watching me or following me, sometimes real close. even the air!
then I went to alcoholics anonymous and stopped drinking and other stuff.
the following and semi-harrasment stopped just like a lite switch. I would have to almost hit their car with a rock to get them to look at me. hmmm,
wonder what happened???
disclaimer -did have one speed ticket, one warning for speeding and one warning to turn my lites on during those 37 years

Every time I got in trouble with the police, it was my fault. Thankfully never a DWI, but a few speeding tickets in the past and some unpaid tickets got me into trouble. Once had a credit card stolen but that was easily resolved. Have done business with a few companies that we're shady via their terms and conditions. Was pretty unhappy with the last valuation on my house. That's about it

Have had a few run ins. 2 speeding tickets, 1 warning, 2 minor accidents (1 my fault, the other one not). I always treat police officers with the upmost respect (you could call it fear of getting in trouble) because that's how I was raised. Been fine every time.

When I was in high school I was driving (coming back from a football game Friday night) and made a goofy turn into a neighborhood without signaling. There was a cop coming the other way and I saw him start a U-turn and I knew he was going to come pull me over.

So, like any intelligent high schooler, I sped way up and started turning at each intersection in the hopes that I would lose him.

Come to find out, the cop car was way faster than my Neon, the cop had done this a lot more than I had, and, surprisingly, was a lot better driver.

Once he caught me, and I pulled over, he waited until cop#2 arrived. At that point, he approached our car, was very pissed, and had me and my buddy get out of the car and put our hands on it. They then went through the car. There wasn't anything of interest in there.

We complied with what he wanted and neither of us tried to run away, get his gun, punch him, or call him a MF'er.

I ended up with a nasty lecture and a pretty big ticket.

Good news? Nobody got shot, tased, or otherwise harmed. Maybe I'm just lucky.

Until my folks found out.

Pulled over by cops in Gainesville. Guns drawn on us. Had to get out of the car slowly and get on the ground. Someone called the cops and said we were waving a gun out our window. Cops searched my car, and we were released. They were just doing their job and we followed their commands and all was fine.

Was jumped by three thugs in Madison, WI. Beat me up pretty good although I got a couple good shots in. They ended up with my wallet those punks. Don’t think they ever got caught.

CC number was stolen on three different occasions. Someone actually rented a car from Hertz.. not sure how they pulled that off. Capitol One took care of me, and removed all fraudulent charges.

Friend got pulled over. Didn't have his license on him. Told the cop that he had an airsoft gun in his glovebox. Foolishly, he picked it up. The cop drew his gun. We were told to get out of the car with our hands up. We complied, got on the ground and were cuffed. Numerous cop cars showed up. They searched the car and realized it was an airsoft gun. Was uncuffed and went home.
Overall, memorable event. 2 thumbs up 👍👍

1992 - Lincoln student came into class at UNL and tried to kill us (yes I was in that classroom)
2016 - Chicago Crack head smashed thru back Door to steal a purse while we were in bed holding a big rock ...faced up with him and Chased him out.
2016 - wife’s nephew some credit cards from her and used them all over
each perpetrator, including nephew, was black but I do not hold that against the black race in its entirety. Shame that BLM does not have same civility but blames an entire group for actions of a few

This site isnt for politics. It's about sports. Take your bullshit somewhere else.
You didn't get the memo? If not, let me enlighten you. There's no such thing as "just sports" any more. The d-bags who live their lives thinking about politics 24/7 (both sides) have dedicated their existence to making the rest of us miserable. And now this site has discovered they get more traffic from Trumpers than football fans, so they opened the floodgates. Get with the program.

Wow I have the power to make you miserable? How sad.

I only had one issue that I felt compelled to go to the county courthouse and fight/tell my side of the story.

Nebraska just got done playing OSU on Thursday night. It was a VERY humid cooler evening. At the time I was driving a 73 chevy nova with 350 that always ran rich until warmed up and would flood itself out if idling.

Anyway I was heading home from in town. After driving about 6 blocks I noticed the neighbor's dog had gone to town again. I decided to call him and drop him off on the way home. As usual it was flooding out. Only cure was to rev it up. Usually it would sputter and then go.

Unfortunately, this time it hit solid and took of squealing the tires. Lo and behold a deputy was 1/2 block away. Gave me a ticket for unlawful exhibition of exceleration.

Told the story to the judge and county attorney in county court. The judge's response was, son no good deed ever goes unpunished. Full fine AND court costs.

Hindsight after representing myself and having a fool for a client, I found out that the best is to go to county attorney prior to court. Guess they don't like to negotiate down in court. Extra paperwork and don't want other people to see they'll go lower in public.

IF I would have talked to county attorney first, probably would have only had to pay court costs and no fine.

That's my story and I m sticking to it 🙂

Was hit with an MIP cause of about half a drop of JD in a bottle on my backseat floorboard leftover from one of my friends when I was 18 didn't know it was there. Cop pulled me over for no turn signal or something like that, in front of my house of all places, just arrived home.

Identity was stolen and a bank account was opened up.

Was walking downtown Lincoln one night at about 17 years old with a buddy of mine when an old manilla van slowed down right by us and the sliding door opened up and some dude pointed a vibrator at us like a gun turned it on and then drove off.

When I was in 2nd grade my teacher didn't let me show and tell a picture of my dad (at the time deployed to iraq) because he was holding a gun and all geared up.

Kennywood Park in Pittsburgh I was 8 or 9 and a black kid just stormed up to me and said “I heard you was talkin shit on me white boy!” I was just coming back from the restroom and my parents were probably 50 ft away and didn’t realize anything was happening. I was perplexed and asked what he was talking about and he repeated it. I looked over and saw two black males approximately 20-25 years old from what I can remember just watching it unfold. They were both wearing bullet proof vests or something that looked like that. Aunt lives in a semi-rough neighborhood in Rochester, NY. I was 12 and walking two blocks to a NY Pizzeria. I hear this baby-like scream and look over at a red Ford Escort with tinted windows and a black kid probably 7 or 8 years old is hanging his head out the window. The tint on the windows was so dark I couldn’t see much else. The window rolls down lower and a black man probably 300 lbs looks at me and says “what the **** you lookin at white boy” That was much scarier than the first one because nobody else was around. I just kept walking and they drove slowly by my side and sped off. I hung out in that pizzeria for probably 30 minutes after I was done eating and sprinted to my aunt’s with no issues.
I’ve also had run-ins with cops when I was underage because I liked to drink. Just a couple of MIPs but I’m from a small town and that gave me a scarlet letter in the eyes of the cops. They lied through their teeth on the police report. Drove left of center and I didn’t but that’s how they pulled us over. Driver wasn’t drinking. The other time was legitimate but everything was exaggerated. Love police and my black brothers but those are my bad experiences. I’ve had police help me out in several situations and have been very lenient on a couple of speeding violations and also helped with a hit and run as well as vandalism. Not sorry for not chopping into multiple paragraphs

I once suggested SF run some plays from the Power I. Husker posters made fun of me.

the vast majority of people dont resort to violence. that makes you no different than anyone else. dont let a handful of people in a country of over 300 million keep you up at night. there are more people who think the earth is flat than resort to violence in protest. its really a nonissue that is played up by the media

Dude, you might want to go find a bunker somewhere and hunker down. Life is out to get you.

Alright. I was sexually assaulted by a Chinese massage therapist. Seriously. Beyond the WTF it wasn't funny to me and I reported it to the police (I believe they were raided and are certainly closed down). The place looked respectable from the outside, was in a decent area, and for the first ~40 minutes everything seemed normal. Then a second girl came into the room unannounced, the first girl left, and she immediately did something without even asking (more than just happy ending). I was shocked and she started asking me prices for "more of the same". I started freaking out and paid to exit immediately (with a tip because I wanted to GTFO) and to this day it bugs me. Haven't been able to talk about it except via the reporting to police.
