I was wondering the same thing. I believe the possible injury occurred when we "could" have run the ball to continue milking the clock on a 2nd and 5. Really hope he is ok because we can't afford to lose him.

Due to all of the injuries we have sustained at wide receiver and his importance to the team... maybe the coaching staff should put him on the kickoff return team...seems logical. Eek

I saw the same thing. Was wondering if he got his hand smashed between a couple helmets or something.

watched some of the replay. appears injury happened late 3rd period. to me, it looked like he was holding ball near his chest and just took a helmet on it from the db. no doubt it was bothering him the rest of the way. i know he took another shot on it in the 4th-----caught a pass and not sure if the ground aggravated it or if the defender clipped it again.

He is a very good receiver and we need him, but I can't understand why he is returning kicks.
I agree should not be risking him on ST. The other 2 starting wr's are already doing it no reason to add a 3rd. There has to be someone else that can do it.

Not only do you not want to risk him, there are other players that are much, much better in that role from a speed standpoint. DPE, Lindsey and Spielman come to mind first. Followed by Rose and Mazour. After like 5-7 guys I think about Morgan.

Must be ok. Only names he mentioned in PC were DPE and Newby with minor dings.
I really expected to see Mazour on kick returns this year. He may not have the straight line speed of Morgan but the kid is tough to tackle and can make guys miss. He's the kind of kid that would run it with reckless abandon and IMO you want that in a kick returner.

anyone know if he can field a punt or KO cleanly?

Well Riley stated several times that he was in line to run back kicks last year before he got hurt so I'm assuming he can catch a kick.

is he still hurt? not sure how much stock to put in preseason talk as Riley said time and time again the IBack race was really tight only to see Bryant get 31 carries and all the other IBacks combine for a total of 2 carries

maybe he was suspended for the first game after posting that bush league practice video clip

Mazour looks like a non-factor at any position at this point.

Stanley's touchdown catch was a thing of beauty. Langs commented on it being a tough play to make, full speed, guy on your back.

Stanley said before the play Tanner told him, "wer'e getting this done right now!!!" Boom. Really like the communication I'm reading about this offense.

I was very impressed with Stanley. He had a lot of drops last year, but he was catching everything against ASU, and made a couple very tough catches.

I could have sworn I saw Mazour not suited up on the sideline. If you rewatch the game, I swear I thought I saw him in a Husker shirt and shorts on the sideline.
