Just a week away and plenty to look forward to, new DL players, new WR room and a new OC calling plays for the entire season and the new ST coach who knows what he's doing. I don't know about the rest of you but I'm excited to see this team play this year under some new position coaches. We have some players who are still rehabbing from surgeries and injuries so some questions will still not be answered until later this summer. One last thing we will find out, will Nebraska add from the portal after spring football is over if the staff deems it necessary.

“Stuff” happens. Nebraska won’t have a game day experience now until the start of the season, so it may be hard for (staff/players) to gauge how far along they will be. Is the spring game experience enough to gauge how they will perform in the fall, nope, but it gives us a window to see how the new staff gels.

I see a great start to the season and winning games they should and getting an upset win is what I'm looking for, it's what makes this thing fun. I really feel Rhules third year will be good, not great but good enough to build on. It's going tell you a lot after spring ball if the coaches feel they still need a player or two from the portal and there will be good players from other teams who hit the portal after spring ball. We are also going to see some players on our roster hit the portal also, it's going to be an interesting spring no doubt about it.

If they deem it necessary and if there would be players to fill what they need is 2 big IF's.

We still have a lot of players to cut too.

Players with starting experience that are returning or coming from the portal
Offense - EJ, Barney, Gottula, Evans, Spindler, Pritchett, Luto, Raiola, Teddy P, Corcoran, Dane Key, Nyziah Hunter
Defense - McCullough, Jaylen George, Andrew Marshall, Watson-Trent, Ceyair Wright, Buford, Singleton, Hartzog,
Others with significant game experience - Lindenmeyer, Haarberg (at QB), Bonner, Jeudy, Cam Lenhardt, Davis, RVP, MaGahee, Javin Wright
That's 27 guys that have in-game football experience. On offense, it is likely that all of the starters will have either will have been starters in prior seasons, or experienced (ex. Lindenmeyer). On defense, that number could be also be 11., with the Dline the obvious position group of concern.
It's a good mix of experienced veterans combined with younger players that have also played meaningful reps.

Possible offensive starters - EJ, Raiola, Hunter, Barney, Key, Gottula, Spindler, Evans, Lutovosky, Pritchett and Haarberg. All have started (HH at QB).
Possible defensive starters - Lenhardt, RVP, Davis, McCullough, Shavers, Watson-Trent, Ceyair Wright, Andrew Marshall, Singleton, Hartzog, with the Rover spot TBD. Eight guys with starters experience, 2 guys with significant game experience, and one position TBD.
They should be able to pick up where they left off.

No koolaid for me this spring. Wins on the field are what counts. I'll wait till games to get excited or not.

I am definitely now a “prove it “ guy after all these years, BUT… I do feel like we could win 8+ games this upcoming season with Dana running the O and installing his offense.
We got a couple nice OL in the portal, and my biggest concern is how stout will our front 7 be on defense?
Hoping for a couple DL pickups after spring ball.

Going to see the UCLA game no matter our record...but it will be a helluva lot more enjoyable if we're good so I have to drink the koolaid.

I think we still need a legit D1 NG. Even if it's for depth I think we need one at least

I’ve been to the Rose Bowl 5 times and don’t care to seat in that Stadium unless it’s a Rose bowl game.

Hope you get good seats you might be disappointed in the stadium if you don’t, but outside of the stadium, Pasadena cool environment..
