Just throwing it out here…my daughter is involved in testing at a local clinic. She told us today that several, 10-12, people tested positive for Delta. Only one had not been vaccinated.

You can still test positive it's just not supposed to impact you as much if vaccinated.

It looks like we're getting it under control with a decrease of 3.33% of people hospitalized down to 29 and a 6.45% decrease in 7 day rolling average cases from 31 down to 29.

Huge spike in cases today though all the way to 46 people. Thats a 58.6% increase from a week ago! Hope this trend doesn't continue.
Up to 35 hospitalized on Friday. A 20.7% increase. 63 positive tests up 37% from the 16th.

I know one of the hospitalized cases and he's not doing well. Not sure if he was vaccinated but I assume not.

So Biden won by a landside but yet the vaccinated are at what percent? And all the unvaccinated are Trumpers?
Trumpers were cheering at CPAC this last week when it was announced Biden missed his goal of 70% vaccinations by July 4. These people are that dumb. Biden just needs to endorse air and they’d stop breathing.

That sounds really dumb if that happened, but was thinking exactly the same thing when leftists kept the vaccine conspiracies peddled by people like Kamala, prison sentencing reforms, and confronting fake Covid narratives from China (leftists buying all in on reports from the Chinese propaganda).

Tucker Carlson is just an example of the media. I personally am entertained as hell with his show and I agree with him on a lot of things, but this COVID vaccine stuff is just damned stupid. I don't mention CNN because these clowns are just reading from a liberal script and they don't have any original thoughts. They just repeat the democratic lines almost verbatim.

As far as research, I have looked at more data than you could have probably digested in 5 years.
I don't think they even have a test to differentiate between variants. At least testing center workers have told me that. They may have no clue either who knows. How the hell do they know what's what?

My guess? They don't so they flip flop all over the place on everything and people blindly follow.

During the last week of June, we had around 10,000 new COVID cases per day in the USA. Last week, we had an average of around 12,000 cases per day!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why is this happening???!!! Is it the dreaded DELTA VARIANT? The LAMBDA VARIANT? Is it a sure sign that the vaccines are not as effective as we thought??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the stuff we're hearing in the media and it's in most ways untrue.

Look:

We were averaging around 75,000 cases per day last July. In January, the cases were around 320,000 per day. What has changed?

1) 50% of the population has been fully vaccinated. Another likely 20% have not been vaccinated but have had COVID. This means that there are less people for this thing to bounce off of and now the cases mainly center around entire communities who have very low vaccination rates. That's why infections are way down.

2) On the other side, we are almost completely opened up now. Few people are wearing masks, the athletic venues are at full capacity, the economy is running, yada, yada, yada. That moves the needle in the other direction, but apparently only slightly.

As long as we have an open society, we're going to have this thing around to a small extent until everyone gets vaccinated or everyone who has not been vaccinated gets COVID. It's going to go slightly up and down for the next 4-5 years until we get to that point. But it's not about some new evil variant that taking over the world.

I recommend that you get vaccinated unless your doctor gives you a good reason why you should not. Not children as they are not at a significant risk from this stuff. I and all of my family has been vaccinated because we made a risk/reward decision for ourselves. Make your own risk/reward decision, but do it with your doctor and not because of something you saw on Tucker Carlson or from a blog.
Not sure why. I’m pretty sure it has nothing to do with fuked up tests producing bogus numbers though, right?
Be afraid everyone! Stay in fear.

CDC to Replace Its PCR Test With One That Can Differentiate Between CCP Virus and Flu

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will no longer recommend its PCR test to detect the CCP virus, saying that it will withdraw the test’s emergency use authorization (EUA), and instead, encourage labs to use a multiplex assay that can detect and differentiate the virus from the flu.
“Given the availability of commercial options, CDC intends to discontinue support for the CDC 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019 nCoV) Real-Time RT-PCR Diagnostic Panel, the assay first introduced in February 2020 for detection of SARS-CoV-2,” Jasmine Reed, public affairs specialist at the CDC, told The Epoch Times via email.
She added that “… the demand for this test has declined with the emergence of other higher-throughput and multiplexed assays. CDC is encouraging pubic health laboratories (PHL) to adopt the CDC Influenza SARS-CoV-2 (Flu SC2) Multiplex Assay to enable continued surveillance for both influenza and SARS-CoV-2, which will save both time and resources for PHL.”
SARS-CoV-2 is the scientific name for the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, also known as the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19.
In a lab alert published on July 21, the CDC said it will withdraw its EUA request for the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test after Dec. 31, 2021, to allow labs to “begin their transition to another FDA-authorized COVID-19 test.”
Currently, none of the diagnostic tests used to determine if an individual is infected with the CCP virus are approved by the FDA.

The multiplex PCR test that the CDC is now recommending allows multiple targets to be simultaneously amplified in a single tube, making it ideal for high-volume and repeated analyses of the same target sequences.

The public health agency said its multiplex assay had been granted an emergency authorization last year in July 2020 and describes it as a “real-time reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test that detects and differentiates RNA from SARS-CoV-2, influenza A virus, and influenza B virus in upper or lower respiratory specimens” from individuals in the acute phase of infection.
Reed did not reply to an inquiry on whether testing for the flu had stopped last year and that is why the CDC is now encouraging labs to adopt the multiplex tests. Nor did the health agency reply to an inquiry on what the cutoff cycle threshold value should be, considering that every manufacturer has its own cutoff value, many at 40 or more cycles.
The CDC’s PCR test uses a cutoff threshold value of 40 cycles, a number experts say is too high and increases the risk of false positives since it cannot differentiate between a dead virus fragment and a live infectious virus.

The cycle threshold value is determined by the number of cycles it takes for the PCR test machine to detect a fragment of the CCP virus. It informs an infected person of how much virus is in their system.
The higher the threshold value, the less the viral load, indicating that the person is less likely to be infectious. In comparison, a person with a lower cycle threshold value will have a higher viral load or is more infectious.
In addition, many people still do not know that they may request the cycle threshold value of their test result, as the standard practice of reporting is to only state negative or positive. Except in Florida, cycle threshold reporting is not part of the diagnosis unless requested by the patient.
The CDC itself says that the cycle threshold value “should not be used to determine a patient’s viral load, how infectious a person may be, or when a person can be released from isolation or quarantine” in its updated frequently asked questions about the CCP virus for labs in November 2020, months after concerns were raised by the scientific community that there was an over-reliance on and a misuse of the PCR test as a diagnostic tool.
Any positive PCR test during the pandemic, with or without clinical symptoms, is counted as part of the daily CCP virus cases and is one of the metrics that impacts public health policies.
The World Health Organization (WHO) eventually issued guidance on Jan. 20, 2021, informing lab experts and health care practitioners should also consider the patient’s history and epidemiological risk factors alongside the PCR test in diagnosing the CCP virus, saying that “most PCR assays are indicated as an aid for diagnosis.”
In addition, the WHO advised that a positive PCR test that isn’t consistent with the clinical presentation should be verified by taking “a new specimen” and retesting it.
The day after the guidance was published, Dr. Anthony Fauci attended the WHO executive board meeting and said that the United States would rejoin the organization and fulfill its financial obligations, after the Trump administration had pulled out of the WHO in July 2020 over its alleged role in helping the Chinese communist regime cover up the severity of the CCP virus.
Fauci, the long-time director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) said in July of last year that a cycle threshold of 35 cycles or more was likely to mean that a fragment of dead virus was detected.
“What is now sort of evolving into a bit of a standard, that if you get a cycle threshold of 35 or more [cycles] that the chances of it being replication-competent are minuscule,” Fauci said in an interview with This Week in Virology, adding that, “somebody comes in and they repeat their PCR and it’s like 37 cycle threshold but you almost never can culture virus from a 37 threshold cycle.”
“So I think if somebody does come in with 37, 38, even 36, you got to say, you know it’s just dead nucleotides, period.”
A study published in the Clinical Infectious Diseases journal last month found that with the increase in the cycle threshold value, the percent of viruses that can be cultured decreases.
The authors said that at a cycle threshold of 25, “up to 70 percent of patients remain positive in culture and that at [cycle threshold at] 30, this value drops to 20 percent.”
However, at a cycle threshold of 35, “the value we used to report a positive result for PCR, <3 [percent] of cultures are positive.”

A day after the CDC published its lab alert, the Health and Human Services (HHS) announced that the Biden administration would
invest more than 1.6 billion “to support testing and mitigation measures in high-risk congregate settings to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and detect and stem potential outbreaks.”
Of the 1.6 billion of investments, $100 million will be used to expand mitigation resources and testing for people with substance use and mental health disorders; $80 million to support state and local testing and mitigation resources among individuals experiencing homelessness, in group homes, and encampments; $169 million to support testing and mitigation efforts in “federal congregate settings”; $700 million “to 64 state and local jurisdictions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in confinement facilities, including prisons, jails, and juvenile confinement facilities”; and $550 million for mitigation efforts and testing in “adults, children, and youth experiencing domestic violence and dating violence.”
However, there was still one million from the $1.6 billion that was unaccounted for. The HHS did not reply to The Epoch Times’ email inquiring about the one million and why the Biden administration is now only testing these high-risk communities.

mostly agree. that and a general lack of imagination re: the possibility that a narrative other than the one that has been pumped into one's mind, may actually be closer to the truth. people don't know the difference between scientists and technicians just repeating what other non-thinkers say.

why can't they produce peer reviewed studies then?

Let me decipher for you the facts and cut through Media fearmongering fake news

whenever they talk about huge spike or any spike in cases who cares ? Even if vaccinated they aren’t getting sick 92% of vulnerable are
Vaxxed

it’s only if and when you see spike in hospitalizations deaths like Oct 2020 then ok

even then though could be combining Covid with other. That’s why I trust none of it I use my own eyes and experience this is all BS unless comorbid otherwise healthy flu is worse for you that should stop fear

U know how they say recession is when your neighbor or friend loses a job. Depression is when you lose your job?

same as withCovid. I know of seriously zero healthy people who even officially tested positive for Covid much less hospitalized or died. Yet the fear never stops. So ask yourself don’t listen to media what is happening in your world. For mine and all the 1000s I know zero Covid issues. If healthy and under 60.

Conversely I do know of 2 friends who had healthy teens suffered and hospitalized from myocarditis from vaccine itself. But still I’m not saying nobody get vaxxed

I’m saying if healthy and young zero need to a vaccine is more risky than Covid is to them
