Sounds good on Nwaneri

So it doesn’t matter, huh? See Indiana and ASU, who were both trash last year and are now in the playoffs while we barely improved over last year.

Our “Analyst” Mozee is providing most of the recent elite ammo so far. We’d better pay him well — especially since we aren’t hiring assistants and coordinators who can bring players — because other schools have certainly noticed and the picture would immediately look worse if Mozee gets stolen by another school for more $$ and responsibility.
Quit moving the goal posts… you complained a few days ago about the hire because he couldn’t bring people with him. And yet we are still about to land the biggest recruit in the history of the program at the position Bradden coaches.

You were complaining about nothing it would seem. First, Davis is coming back. Now Nwaneri is almost certain to commit here. Quit bitching about the coaches being brought in. It looks like they know what they’re doing in spite of your brilliant posts.

Got lucky on Simpson that no one scooped him up as a full-time position coach. Can't take that chance with Mozee. Need to lock him down and make him untouchable.
Nebraska is successful in scooping Simpson as a full-time position coach. Hasta mean
Nebraska got “lucky.”

Mozee is already on campus (since summer), making $200,000, good money for a non-position coach, doing his work as a recruiter with the chance to be around his son for four years, and Nebraska is still “taking a chance” on a guy who most recently was a HS head coach and a couple months or so as an analyst at UCF.

I’m sure you’d have performed cartwheels if Rhule had hired him as a position coach in the BIG.

You’re seemingly passionate about Nebraska football. I just don’t understand the barrage of negative spins on just about every flippin piece of news or occurrence.

Huh? I'm extremely happy about Mozee and Simpson. Simpson was an awesome hire. Same for Mozee. I couldn't possibly be more excited for a Husker assistant coach. Former D1 players with hs head coaching experience in good to great recruiting areas who seem to have dynamic personalities. Sign me up.

My point about Simpson was, do you think he would be here if FSU or Miami or someone already hired him? He wasn't at FSU for a year, right? That means he wasn't necessarily trying to get back to Florida. He is working his way up. Terrible decision by FSU to let him go.

There is no taking a chance on Mozee. Multiple time coach of the year in hs. Former d1 player. Hiring him is SEC style. It's just smart.

If someone offers Mozee a TE or rb coach position do you think he would at least consider it? I bet he would. He's a former rb and hs OC. We happen to have a te coach that is replaceable and a rb coach that many would say the same. Lock this guy down with a full-time assistant job. Then find a great recruiter for the db coach position and watch our talent fill up. I bet we could even find a good recruiter and special teams coach.

Yes, I am leery of our DC, but we are a few moves away from assembling an absolutely dynamite recruiting staff. Satterfield brings nothing to the table recruiting wise. Same for Foley. 2 spots with great recruiters and special teams with a good recruiter plus Dylan, and things could get wild.

Could be wrong but I think he was responding to someone else.

This is bullcrap. Every hire Rhule makes is dripping with nepotism and there is no strategy to them.
Exactly. No other head coaches hire assistants they are familiar with. And EVERY hire is just dripping with this horrible nepotism. Rhule should be fired, right? You are either a troll or an idiot. Maybe both.

Video gif. Overhead view of a squirrel on the ground. It turns from all fours to perching up on its hind legs, wide eyes, ears perked straight up, shaking its tail back and forth in a wild wagging motion like it's excited or happy to see us.

Pretty sure he was being sarcastic due to another poster who claimed this.

If he was being serious, I need to remove my ‘like’ from his post.

If James Williams is the 16th best player in the portal then wow, what a down year. We must truly be amazing at development to have taken a kid who no one offered after a year of JUCO to the 16th best player in the portal a year and a half later.

He has huge upside and had production in limited snaps. Compare that to Nwaneri who at this point has five subjective online magical stars next to his name. Would have been nice to have Williams back.

Nothing against Williams but is to much to want both lol. Even if we had kept Williams I'd still want this guy. Can't never have too many good DL/edge guys.

Holla

I love posts like this… Grumpy no matter what. You are right, it’s hopeless moving forward. Why do we even dream that things could get better when nothing will get better? Keep up the good fight…
