Here are some final numbers and thoughts from today's Shrine Bowl on the Nebraska recruits...

RB - Noah Johnson 3 carries, 26 yards
Power runner. I probably see him as a linebacker down the road.

WR - Conor Young 5 catches, 136 yards 3 TD's, 1-1 passing 49 yards yards, 1 TD
Kid was very explosive. Had a great feel for the game as well. Easily the overall MVP. He could end up being another Brandon Reilly type.

RB - Wyatt Mazour 25 carries, 94 yards, 1 catch for 18 yards
They fed him the ball all day. He was playing on a bad quad, but gave them all he could. Wyatt had 94 yards, with his long run just 7 yards. He showed very good shake though in the open field.

DE - Daishon Neal 3 tackles, 1 fumble recovery
He flashed his ability a few times today. He's got such a big body and knows how to use it. He's going to get so much better once he gets into a D-I program.

OL - Michael Decker
I love the way he plays and carries himself. He reminds me of a Spencer Long type with his attitude on the field, but off the field he's a very articulate well spoken young man.

****My overall biggest takeaway was Young. He really helped himself today. He needs to get physically bigger, but he has an "it" factor to make a difference.

***The Shrine Bowl is a first class event. They had the biggest crowd in years, pushing the 5800 capacity number at UNK.
