Contract extensions for coaches whose contracts are actually expiring are very meaningful, because it tells recruits who’s going to be coaching them. Not quite the same as adding 2 years to a contract that has 5 years left on it, but OMG, OMG, OMG, a blogger said our guy is on the hot seat!
