So when does ESPN give Alphonso Thomas 4 stars

Riley is on a roll!
Must really suck to want the team you grew up following to fail. Riley is doing all the right things, and some people still hage such hurt feelings, they will not even give him a chance. Childiish.

I think this thread went over your head.

No, it didn't. O.P. continues to try and downgrade the coach who has not even blew a whistle to start Fall camp, like he thinks ESPN is just throwing stars on Nebraska recruits for no good reason. It is really sad. Considering Riley and his staff have done more work this Summer than Bo and his high school buddies did in multiple years combined shows how bitter he is.

Ah. I must've missed some other threads.

agreed that Thomas is lower ranked and perhaps overlooked. highly unlikely that he is overlooked given the geographic proximity in TX. and lack of big offers is puzzling However, NEB has a good history with RBs, even ones that are not 4*s and 5*s. i'm not worried about RB. we always turn out good RBs

I could be misinformed, but as I understand it he was behind a major recruit last year so this will be his first year as his team's primary running back.

What are you guys talking about? What have I ever said negative about coach Riley? What? You guys are like teenage girls hyper sensitive to any post. Riley is proving himself to be a skilled recruiter and first mover talent identifier. I am expecting ESPN to eventually give Thomas at least 3 stars possibly 4. Soon, TCU and Baylor will be offering him.

Ok. Sure thing. My bad.

He wasnt behind a major recruit, but Van did have a 4 year starter last season. That kid finished high school with more than 6000 career yards and nearly 70 touchdowns. He was an All State back and 3 time all district RB. Kids like that don't lose carries as Seniors. But Aphonso actually cut that Seniors touches down by a 3rd.

I bet Thomas runs for 2000 yards as the feature back.

If the kid gets the RB position all to himself this year and runs for 1,500 yards, teams that still need RB help will come offering no doubt.
