So none of Riley's Redshirt Freshmen Linebackers can beat out a Redshirt Sophomore Walk On?

Anytime you're forced to go down the depth chart due to injuries, its far from ideal. You're likely going to struggle anyway. But when a Redshirt Sophomore Linebacker walk on in Jacob Weinmaster is slated to travel over any of these 3 players below its clearly a major indictment of Mike Riley and his staff.

Quayshon Alexander - Former ESPN 300 recruit out of big time football in NJ
Pernell Jefferson - Former Oklahoma Commit and Defensive MVP out of New Orleans
Collin Miller - Considered the HS Defensive POY out of Indiana

The Joseph Goebbels RSS Propaganda machine wants to keep pointing out the "lack of talent" in the Junior and Senior classes while constantly touting all the "talent" brought in by Mike Riley.

Stop bitching about the need to play walk-ons when they're playing positions where highly recruited scholarship players exist on the roster.

"But Corn..... You can't expect Redshirt Freshmen to be ready to play yet!"

I might buy that argument if the guy who is playing ahead of them wasn't a Redshirt Sophomore legacy walk on who's best offers out of High School were Colorado Mines or Baker University. And I mean no disrespect to Weinmaster, but he wasn't even a preferred walk on. He was only given consideration because of his Husker Lineage. Kudos to him for working his ass off and making a move on the depth chart.

But spare me the complaints about talent when so many of Riley's recruits aren't even seeing the field.
